Mettenberger is a statue. Too slow and unathletic for today's NFL. He's like Drew Bledsoe but worse, more of a statue. That's nice he had a good preseason game maybe he could be a successful backup, I suppose
I Agreed. I've seen Mettenberger rifle a bullet on a long down and out, i.e. a 40-yd. rope. I've also seen him rifle a brick at the feet of a check down back sitting 10 yards to his right in the flat. Big, erratic arm; big, static feet.
I call shotgun for that road trip, I'd even pay for gas! Seriously, if Fales gets put on the practice squad we better sign him asap. I don't care which fringe player we'd have to cut to make room on our active roster, cause you can never have too much young talent at the quarterback position.

I'm scared that's what's happening right now. He is being groomed by one of the best QBs to ever walk this earth. He is thriving right now with his few expected rookie mistakes. Knowing the Jets luck, he will be a stud in a few years, Brady will retire and Gorappolo will step in for years to come. For fucks sake.
