You are way too defensive. Chill. Nowhere did I say I hopes he crashes and burns or never think he'll succeed.

It's not defensiveness, it's being perturbed by a conglomeration of dudes showing up that either didn't watch the game or saw some highlights and drawing conclusions or suggesting he was "bad".

You can't draw much from one preseason game but if you had to make a career call on one game-this game- you're seeing a dynamic NFL QB. With a MUCH better arm than folks gave him credit for and very accurate. If he had shit the bed dump away. Maybe folks will get their wish next week. Maybe not.

A 21 year old kid staring down a receiver in his first NFL action is not as fatal as QBs doing it when they've been in the league for a while. And he showed the same escapability he had in college.

Jimmy Graham dunking again. What a dick.

He'll make his point in preseason but let's see if he pussies out in the regular season.

Yeah just saw that. Bad miscommunication with the TE, the guy never even turned around.

The dumb thing is Brady ran to the sideline to make the tackle and dove at him. In a preseason game.

    Nuts.

yeah was surprised to see that. maybe one last FU to the league.

don't think we'll see it again. but never know, if emotions run high in a big moment....
Payton would be all over him if it does happen in regular season.

my preseason impressions are that these games are near impossible to watch with all the flags.
i've never seen this much laundry on the field.

Illegal contact, PI, defensive holding, and illegal hands to the face. Refs being instructed to throw flag if they even think it might be any of those. should be going the other way, and only throw flags if you are sure.
trying to make it impossible to play defense, which will in turn ruin the game. they all result in first downs for the O, and you can't even challenge. its terrible really.. might as well throw every 3rd down. nice work Goddell.

That was a good thing. Hopefully he continues to throw more interceptions and and runs at the defender.

I would be annoyed as Saints fan if he did it in the regular season. Pre season, okay. Regular season I would get annoyed quick.

It is so stupid. I really dislike the look-at-me antics. I just watched the GOTW from the Halloween '76 game between S.F. and St. Louis. Terry Metcalf was bottled up all game but broke free for a touchdown in the second half. He had an emphatic spike after scoring most likely to let off steam.

Or look at Earl Campbell's 81 yard TD run to beat Miami in 1978. Best TD "celebration" ever. He turned around, took a couple steps and then the ball fell out of his hands.

This Graham clown looks to dunk the ball over the goalposts even when he catches the ball by the sideline. In other words, he sometimes really goes out of his way to do it. Tool activity is what it is.

An FU to the league? What for? The league put a rule in place to help make this guy look like less of a clown. He will thank the league for it later in life when he grows up.

I understand both sides of it. It's a team game, act like you've been there before, why are you planning celebrations, etc. I also understand the other side of having fun, making a celebration "your own", etc.

But any celebration that penalizes your team is just dumb to me. And the rules are so limiting, players have to know what they can and cannot do. Saying all that, the Jets and Shonn Greene completely breaking that rule against the Pats in the 2010 playoff game, that will be one exception. That penalty was well deserved and great.

Yeah, I don't understand his anger, the rule was put into place because this retard actually decided to HANG onto the goal post after dunking and delayed the game by 15-20 minutes while they fixed it after he bent it over.

He can only be mad at himself for ruining that celebration, I 100% supported the league, though I think they could have made it so that if you TOUCH the posts you get flagged while still allowing dunks, as long as no contact is made. But Jimmy is 100% to blame due to his idiotic celebration.

There have been some end zone antics I liked. Some examples are Patrick Johnson doing the Dirty Bird in Atlanta in 1999 and Terrell Owens mocking Ray Lewis. I generally don't like the stuff, though. There is nothing wrong with a good spike or some other act of exuberance, but if the action was clearly planned, then it usually is pathetic, to me, anyway.

Yeah that makes sense. It's usually because the planned ones seems forced.

Darnell Dockett out for the year--ACL and MCL. Brutal loss for the Cards.
