Fuck that I'm not a fireman Ed fan but nobody had the right to spit on him and all the other shit was done to him. He just a fan like the rest of us.
How many away games did the New York Jets give you tickets for? How many airline tickets did they comp you for? How many times did they get you on camera during a football game? Because you're just like the rest of us. As far as people SPITTING ON HIM? That's funny. He never once claimed that before he stopped. Fucking dude is a bitch. I hope he never gets back into the fold.
I understand what your saying about the perks. If it was me and somebody spit on me I would still be kicking his ass. I don't know some of what you say does make sense.
So the trouble began after he switched to a Sanchez jersey? Interesting. Maybe the number 6 is now cursed.
He must have talked to Sanchez a lot and be friended him. I always remember Fireman Ed defending Sanchez no matter what (which kinda bothered me). He probably was upset that the Sanchez era was on its way out and Geno was in.
Why all the whining like a schoolgirl? If you really think the perks are worth all the shit just send in a video to the jets. Have your mom write a letter to send in with your entry like she did to get you your participation ribbon in your eighth grade gym class.
Awww, don't get your shoulders in a buckle, your brother will someday be able to lead a chant and be happy again, all the while sharting down your back.
Ask yourself these questions: 1) Would you have the guts to get up in front of thousands to get a chant going? And it showing up on a screen as well? 2) Would you say no to free tickets if you were offered them, or got interviews and perks out of it? 3) Do you deserve to get threatened for supporting your side? 99.9 % of you would not be able to say yes to number 1. But if you did and it helped the atmosphere you would deserve number 2. Know one deserves number 3 not matter what. Whoever takes it over will never be as good. Ed had the passion and was recognisable. Stadium atmosphere is so important, it CAN make a difference. The guys that had a go at him ruined that. Now you have to put up with videos trying to get you going.
I don't get it either. The chant is great, whoever was leading it. But to heckle, spit, throw shit, threaten a fan of the same team you are rooting for just goes to show how many neanderthals and fucking retards are at games. And to the idiots saying he should "smash" them, when you get to a certain age (he's 52?), the last thing you want to do is get into altercations with younger twats. You're not a kid anymore, you're slower and shit takes longer to heal and odds are you will not "win". Unless you're threatening or being extremely difficult around my wife or family, i'll do whatever it takes to defend them. But over a football game, a 52yo, walking away was the best thing for him to do. Who needs to put up with that shit at that age? Fuck that.......
It states he has not stayed away. He just took off his helmet and moved to another part of the stadium away from the Idiots.
