    Concur.

Who scoffs at the opportunity to play with LeBron?

The opportunity to be playing every year for a championship? With a rock star? With that traveling Must See show to every arena in the NBA? Weekly games nationally televised?

    For MINNESOTA?

I call hornet (and I don't even know what that means).

    Yup.

I'm sure he's ecstatic to go play in Minnesota for a team without Kevin Love.

    Full of shit?

Cleveland clearly did not want on him the roster, once LeBron came

They treated him like crap for all these weeks, and put him in extremely awkward situation. He's an 18 year old kid, who had to answer questions such as, "What team will you play for come Octobe?", every day.. Give me a break, he just wanted to play for a team that WANTED him. At this point in his career I doubt he cares about the national tv games, or the the marketing opportunities that with LeBron James.

    Circus?

Why is every team that makes big free agency moves a circus? Yeah I'm sure he's real happy he's leaving a team that will consistently battle for a championship lol

    Give me a break.

Circus as in the attention will be zoned in on that team. And Wiggins is 19 years old, he doesn't give damn aout winning a title right now.
Wiggins himself said he wanted to be traded. He got his wish, I'm pretty sure he's happy.

So a circus in your theory is a team with a lot of attention? Interesting.

Wiggins said he wanted to be traded when he found out it was happening. He never said a word when he was drafted. As soon as the trade talks heated up, suddenly he wanted to go. Bullshit.

I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Then the Los Angeles Lakers of the 80s were a circus and the Chicago bulls of the 90s were a circus.

Or they were the biggest rock bands on tour every night across America.

    One of those two.

    Here's how it played out:

    - Wiggins gets drafted by Cleveland.
    - Wiggins is excited as hell to play for an NBA franchise.
    - LeBron James resigns with Cleveland.
    - Wiggins says in interviews that he is ecstatic to get to play alongside LeBron.
    - Talks heat up regarding a trade for Kevin Love involving Wiggins.
    - Wiggins gets mad and realizes it is inevitable, so he bullshits to the media that this is what he wanted.
    - Wiggins goes to the Timberwolves and floats away into the abyss to never see a championship.

I'm sure he loved being traded away from the best player in the world.

This is one of those situations "you can't fire me because I QUIT!"

Wiggins was the first pick in the draft, and didn't know what he was going to play for in October. When is the last time that happened in the NBA? I don't understand how he's full of shit, if he just wanted to play for a team tatwanted him. Is that too much to ask for?

The Cavs (LeBron) are making the mistake here.

Fuckin Lebron, you would think having his "big 3" get dismantled in Miami by that Spurs team would've taught him something. But no, he can't stand to wait for long term talent, building a team, he's got to piece mail old buddies and vets. Waiting a year or 2 for a Wiggins to develop would make that team very scary in the long term. Especially since he is going to be a good defensive player and his skills translate nicely as a complement to Lebron. He could play 10 years with Wiggins!

Instead they are going to put all of their cap space into the one-dimensional Love with a bunch of old ass vets that are borderline aged out anyway and will only be short term fixes..

This whole trade is coming from Lebron only. Any reasonable GM wouldn't want to give away two #1 picks for a guy they would probably have a decent shot at in FA anyway in a year. Especially when one of them was the top pick in a deep draft and looks to be the part of a franchise cornerstone.

    Bingo.

No one said the guy can't want to leave but don't say you're excited to play alongside LeBron and then say you wanted to be traded.

As for the Wiggins comments: His old coach is definitely throwing him under the bus, holy shit.

He's not out there publicly demanding a trade or anything. On the contrary he's saying all the right things in the public eye. This was a private conversation with his old coach of which it sounds to me like he's pretty certain he is being traded so he's trying to look at the bright side of the situation.. Self throws that conversation out there and it looks like he is demanding a trade or something silly, which he isn't.

I mean is he supposed to sulk now? Any competitor is going to stay positive in his situation.

What is the kid supposed to say? He can either motherfuck the Cavs and get labeled as a "troublemaker" or give the bullshit "look on the bright side" answer that he did that everyone knows is a lie. Just like 95% of what athletes say to the media. That's one of the things that bugs me about the sports media, this constant need to insult fans intelligence with horseshit platitudes and cliches and no one ever calling them on it.

Its about development and probably being the guy so I see he has some ego issues but he is confident about being the man.

Plus it may help his solo business brand...he could be the biggest thing to Minnesota since Kevin Garnett

It's not like he went public with those words. It's something he said in the confidence of his former coach. He probably said it out of anger at the time or the coach could be lying, but based on the quote he cited it sounds like he wants to build his own legacy rather than taking the easy route. That sounds like a good attitude to me.

Minnesota now has the last 2 overall #1s on the team. Lots of potential over there, even without Love.

Um, try actually reading the article. He didn't say shit to the media. His former coach claimed he said it to him. The coach could be lying.
