These were always some of my favorite threads. Don't remember seeing one the last year or two. Starting early this year:
Martellus Bennett...hence the "suspension" for conduct detrimental to the team. More like conduct detrimental to their brand new first rounder (that was Kyle Fuller he took out)
Damn! He slammed the guy right on his head and could have seriously injured him. What a boneheaded move.
Honestly though seeing the complete clip on ESPN, the guy (Fuller) did take Bennett down practically by the neck before that gif, I can't really blame Bennett for going off. I think the suspension was cumulative as much as anything else since Bennett also laid someone else out in a similar way during OTA's.
Fuller must've said something to get that kinda reaction. Either way its training camp. Dustups happen. Not Bennett's fault he went up against a guy half his size.
He walked up to him and flipped him upside down and slammed him head first into the ground. Just shut up already.
I don't know. He basically got clotheslined right before it when you watch the video. The suspension had to be due to a series of behavioral issues. He gets taken down around the head and neck, then tosses Fuller down for it. I think a lot of players would have retaliated for this.
I'm sorry for being so abrasive. I've had personal issues that make me angry. I extend an olive branch to you sir. Let's make up and be friends. And if you are feeling up to it, please lick my dingleberries.
Fuller grabbed the front of Bennett's pads when he was trying to strip the ball, it wasn't a clothesline. Bennett way overreacted but there were also other incidents that brought the suspension on. I am pretty sure it will only be a day or 2 to make a statement and then he will be back at it.
