It's not selective hearing. You literally do not hear praise being given to Hill like you hear with other guys like Kerley, Decker, and Nelson.

I didn't say Hill doesn't get credit for being healthier and his God given ability. Oh, he's a hard worker as well. Those things do not translate to me that they think he is going to be something special or that he is on the right track to being that guy. There is no indication of that.

I'm a fan, not a coach. The thing is though, I have a brain and I can see the writing on the wall. I hope I'm wrong, I just don't think I am.

Unsolicited praise from the offensive coordinator,.. But what does he know ?

I will eat 100 crows out of the butt of a dead rhino if Stephen Hill turns out to be a solid receiver. That's how much I want him to succeed.

I'll be the happiest person on this motherfucking earth. The Jets would be in a great situation.

But I want to see it in the regular season, and not hear about it in TC. Because I already have.

My expectations are so low for Hill right now. That if he has an average season that would be like having Calvin Johnson in 2012.

Rookie TEs rarely contribute at a high level. It's a big adjustment to the NFL. I wouldn't expect much from Amaro this season. Just look at the rookie years of tight ends drafted early the past few years - Ertz, Eifert, Fleener. If Amaro, a second round pick who has to learn an NFL offense, catcher 30+ passes for 3-350 yards it will be a successful rookie year.

Sudfeld has been getting a lot of love this off-season. Hopefully he contributes in the regular season.

If Dee Milliner is the best CB in football, then Stephen Hill is the best WR in the game because he beat Dee a few times in practice today...one for a long TD.

Don't forget that Hill is a Megatron clone during camp. Once the season starts and his knee starts acting up though is another story.

  13. Boyd is a project..not really much else to say on the matter. It should be no surprise that he's struggling in his first week of TC. I was never high on him either at least from a projected starter perspective..but I'm not gonna gripe about a 6th round pick who was likely acquired to possibly be a long term back-up.

I've been seeing more & more people taking exception to Idzik's draft strategy & I'm not sure I understand this thought process. For one the very reason why the Jets got into the void of talent predicament from the last 2 seasons was b/c we lacked draft picks.Secondly, as previously stated many of the picks were compensatory & therefore were not subject to trades. Finally, the draft is an educated guess at best. It only makes sense to stock up on as many of those as a team can.

W/ 12 picks..if a draft pick doesn't work out, it's not always a bad thing. It likely means someone else on the roster beat them out for the job. As long as the competition is legit, it's just part of the process. You're never gonna have a draft where you hit on every guy. Even the best draft classes of all time have names that didn't make it. Why not increase the odds of hitting as well as creating competition by stockpiling picks? Whats the downside?

Well yeah. Sometimes the corner or safety makes a great read allowing him to make a play on the ball. Sometimes it is just a poor pass that any schlep could pick off. They are 2 very different situations. Based on the descriptions it sounds like Landry made a very good read. But regardless of who did what right, Cimini will always take the negative side. If there's a pick, it was automatically a terrible throw. If there's a touchdown, it's because the corner got burned. It's never a great play by the corner or a great throw by the quarterback.

I took that tweet as two different plays. On one play Vick dropped in a beauty to Hill, then on the very next play he threw a terrible ball that was picked off.

Doubt it. I'd rather him take mental reps than risk further damage.
