I gotta agree with you here Grandpa C. Win first, talk shit later. Dee is a rookie and his answer wasn't really as bold. Geno said he expected to be top 5 and not that he was Top 5. But this coming from a vet like Pace and be so definitive is not good. But again as a fan, I love the confidence in our players and somehow think we perform better when we talk shit.

pace is usually a straight talker,so if he is saying something he believes it. i take more stock in this than dee beating his chest. the questions i have is, do other teams get asked these "who is the best....?" or is it just our beat writers hoping to to get the next headline? and at the end of the day,what does it matter. so they don't give the politically correct answer, this is pro football. is someones feelings going to get hurt because pace thinks the defense will be the best? teams are not going to play better against us because pace was speaking his mind. the only thing thats going to happen is a few more articles will get a few more clicks and a few more jets haters will spew their e-loads into a few more comment sections. bfd its not like manish doesn't have his "idzic has the jets muzzled" column all penned out if the players and rex do clam up,so good for pace and good for dee and good for geno. speak your mind, there are too many other places in life where you have to bite your tongue, how you feel about your football tam should not be one of them
