This guy plays hard... old school football bad-ass type. I like the signing. I was surprised he was still available. he's up there in milage I know, but if he's only a third down pass rusher he could play well here.
Though I definitely like this signing, it also worries me because it might mean that Barnes is not ready to go / his lingering injury has not healed as well as we would have liked. Hopefully Babin can take his place if necessary.

I think Coples and Pace still start the season at OLB. To have Coples, Barnes, Jason Babin, and Calvin Pace rushing the passer, we got some firepower. Surely Rex will have a package to put them all out on the field at once
He was a beast for a few years a couple seasons ago. 2 year deal makes me think he has a very good shot at making the opening day roster. Considering he wont have a huge role I like the signing.
I like the move and I almost seem him more of an insurance policy for Pace because of his veteran knowledge. There is no downside here and I am sure with our D-Line he can put up at least 5 sacks. I expect us to always be on the hunt for good deals and adding guys that fit our defense.
Excellent move, he's on the downside of his career, but he's dependable and durable, smart player and he'll be good with the OLB rotation on both sides in multiple schemes.
