That's not the point he's making. If there is information withheld, by law that can be considered criminal. Stick to the point. Of course there is a carrot dangling in front of all players in form of big cash. Who's denying this? And what kind of argument is "no one is forcing them to play"? Way off coarse there. If you don't tell your employer of risks involved, you are liable. This is one of the simpler concepts to grasp here. As for their being deceased, where do you get this "rule" that one cannot speak of them once they've passed on? Those may be your sensibilities but no one else has to share that viewpoint. It doesn't make someone a "bad" person. Everyone has differing mentalities. I think it would be childish to place such restrictions on a free country. If we are indeed free. I see a bunch of imperialists on this site. Just saying.
Its pathetic, I guess in his world, whoever doesnt agree with him is a troll. =/. Pretty shallow if you ask me.
Do you still watch and support football? I'm not trying to put you on the spot as I understand there's a lot of crap going on behind the scenes. They've been intentionally withholding such data for decades hoping no one will bring out the truth. At least no one with stature that they can't tear down. There have been studies and reports. I ask this question because I admitted earlier that I feel a bit torn that I support a sport that is maiming these guys and tearing apart families in the future. It is happening yet I love the sport, the contact, the emotion. I've watched since I was a kid. The truth is I should be condemning it and simply quit as a fan. It's not that easy. Or is it?
I'm no liberal as I am a staunch conservative and feel that liberals are maladjusted, bubble-environment idiots. I don't think political ideology sways the truth however. It's not that simple. Why would you think that those who withhold hazardous information from their employees are "good" and to think otherwise was being a dreaded liberal? I know that's the reflexive motives of a lefty. But who said ONE word about evil rich people? Quite frankly, I believe the less you tax wealthy people (and I posted this very thought on the Woody thread), they will donate more and actually invest more thus provide more jobs (economy). Simple economics, no? Capitalism at is core. But to say they can be ignored for every wrong they commit simply because they donate is a very, very thin argument. I'll be nice and label that so. This is exactly what you are conveying here. Way off the mark. Not the point at all. Sorry.
I honestly wouldn't know. I read the book in march, (it only came out last October). I haven't missed a Jets game in probably a decade now, will it be tough to miss one? Possibly. I really dont know at this time. It is what it is though, I think I would be more disturbed if I actually watched a game, knowing that these owners are profiting off me.
I'm confused. You said you haven't missed a game yet you claim they aren't profiting off you. I don't think that's accurate.
I made my decision to never watch football again, this offseason. So yeah I was in the wrong to for the last decade but I did not know what I know now. Had I known about this information revealed in the book a decade ago, I would never have started watching football.
There are many, many Internet forums you can participate in to discuss the NBA that are not on a website devoted to promoting an evil NFL franchise. So again, why are you here?
Lol is this serious I really care about you Soxxx. I want us to be together. Let's leave this evil place and run away to an NBA forum together.
Chad is going to get jealous, him and Soxxx have already found a cute little place together, truth. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
