No shock here, but sense I get from plugged-in sources is that Kidd is probably finished w/Nets whether he lands another job or not.

    Howard Beck @HowardBeck · 16m
Source: Kidd isn't pursuing Bucks coaching job. He wants to be president of basketball ops.

Dude. RT @hartzellNBA: Fan on Nets' RealGM forum nailed this story on Thursday: http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1330298…

    Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 3m
More that inspired Kidd power play -- Steve Kerr, Derek Fisher hired at higher pay grade. "That got him -- especially Fisher," source said.

    Gery Woelfel @GeryWoelfel · 1h
All in the family: 1 of Bucks new owners - Lasry - is friends with Jason Kidd and Kidd's agent. Stay tuned.

No one will confirm this but I was told Kidd has been offered job as Bucks president.

lol what a jabroni Kidd is, from the Lawrence Frank thing to this. But he was always a diva as a player too so why should this be shocking?

Good let him go to Milwaukee and be the next Isiah Thomas for another lousy organization.

For what it's worth, this is the rumor swirling on twitter that I haven't seen from Woj, Beck, or other established NBA people

    Nets Stats @NetsStats · 6m
Source says Jason Kidd cursed out Nets executive and associate of Prokhorov Dmitry Razumov over the phone when he wasn’t granted power…

So can I get some opinions of this guys? I'm not quite sure how to feel. I've all but lost hope with my home state Bucks, but still I'm stuck with some hope with Alphabet, Parker, Sanders, Henson, etc. hope is alive, and I love Jason Kidd, but IDK if getting him would really help the organization or not.

I have no clue. Jason Kidd was a coach for one year and now wants to make the jump to President of Basketball Ops, the same role Phil Jackson got? It seems like a quick and risky thing to do, to put Kidd as president and have him basically take this young team and turn it into a contender. If I was a Bucks fan, I would have hoped if the job was open it was going to someone with more experience.

At the same time, his first year of coaching started off bad but he was able to find things and players that worked. I wouldn't say he coached great, but he did better than I thought he would after the poor start and losing Lopez to injury.

I really have no clue what this does to the MIL organization. How much power will he really have? Will he make coaching and GM changes? Will he put himself as coach? I think that last one is the most dangerous, if he becomes president of ops and coaches, that's a Pop and Doc Rivers role, something I really would not want a new coach doing.

A hire based off friendship seems quite dangerous. I really have no clue. Let me put it this way, if Derek Fisher was hired to be president of basketball operations of the Knicks I would feel lot less comfortable than when Phil got hired, even though they both had 0 experience doing this job.

If the reports are accurate of what Kidd did in Brooklyn, then I don't think it's good for any team to have him. It's one thing to want more power in the front office after years of coaching. It's also one thing to look elsewhere if the team you are coaching on says no. He has coached one year in his career and is already looking for more control. When he didn't get what he wanted, he cursed out the head of the organization and is now looking for somewhere else to go. I don't know if I'd want a guy like that as a head coach. Guys like Doc Rivers and Popovich deserve more control, but Jason Kidd? After one year of coaching? I dont think so. It tells you a lot about him with the way he went about it also.

I agree it doesn't make much sense. If anything at least, my massively ignored home NBA team is getting talked about for once.

I don't know a lot about Russians but I know enough to say this probably isn't true.

If you curse a powerful Russian, you probably will pay a hefty hefty price. :)

Kind of figured Wade would opt out. He's basically taking direction from Lebron at this point. Have to figure Lebron is going to figure out a way to retool Miami and convinced Wade to take the pay cut needed to make that happen.

The Kidd thing is bizarre. He may have close ties to the owner in Milwaukee but how do you interview someone with a coach and GM in place. His power play move is overly aggressive.

Carmelo needs to just hold off for one more season. I think we MAY see Rondo in NY. The Celtics are going to try and trade him during the season, im not sure the Knicks have enough but if anything they could land him in free agency.

Knicks also going for Pau Gasol which I think isnt a bad move, the guy can play.

The difficult thing with Kyle Lowry is that the Lakers might/will pursue him. Lakers can offer him the max, if that happens, the heat's big 3 would have to open up 16 million.

(TBH I dont think Lowry deserves 16 million but if it turns into a bidding war the Lakers can go as high as anyone but the Raptors.)

What are you talking about? Lowry was one of the 4 best PG this year, he is the reason why the Raptors made the playoffs, definitely worth 16 million. He said that he wants to play for a championship, so that may lead him away from LA.

Dude everyone time you talk about the NBA, you have no clue what your talking about. First you say he's worth $16 million, then you proceed to say he wants to compete for a championship so that will push him away from LA. So what team is going to give him a 16 million contract where he can compete? Miami wont give him 16 million. The Rockets dont have 16 million and even if they did I dont think they give it to him. So where else can he go?

Hes either going to take 10-12 million and go to the Heat/Rockets OR take a max contract and go to the Lakers. The Mavericks already stated they arent handing out a max contract, and im not sure even with Lowry the Mavericks could win a championship.

That's hillarous, because all you do is spout bs on this site. You are clearly lacking knowledge.. You didn't watch any Raptor games this year, I can tell. Lowry's play is worth 16 million, but he said he wants to play for a title meaning he would take less. Since he wants to play for a title he won't go to LA. Someone who follows the NBA would have been able to understand this. It's funny how you say westbrook will be traded, and then say someone else has no clue about the NBA. Stop watchinf ESPN and try to watch some games

Are you kidding me with this nonsense? And Westbrook will be traded, mark my words. The same way I called Harden getting removed way before anyone was even talking about. Lowry is not worth a max contract, hes great but he just isnt. Is Lowry as good as Chris Paul? is Lowry as good as a healthy Derrick Rose? No and No. Those are the only 2 pgs outside of Deron Williams(which he clearly doesnt deserve) that are getting paid 16 million.
