^ He would be a good addition to OKC. I wouldn't want him to go there because I want to see what he can do with a bigger role on a team and on OKC he would just be the Sefolosha replacement, so stand in a corner, hit a 3, play some D
Shumpert / THJ and our 1st rounder next year. The Knicks seem to trade their youth away every year. I hope not, but who knows what's going on with Melo.
The Shump trade would be a pure money decision to get him off the books. I hope it won't happen unless we break into the top 20 of the draft. I would rather trade Chandler and his salary for a pick if possible.
You know i sadly wasnt around for all of them but i also looked into the matches and sseen documentaries. I'm 24. Motto use to be " To be the best you have to beat the best" Now its "Join the best to be the best"
Broussard just tweeted that Lebron will be exercising his early termination. (opting out). http://espn.go.com/nba/truehoop/miamiheat/story/_/id/11127329/lebron-james-opt-contract-miami-heat
He opted out before the draft rather than after which is interesting considering he could have waited. (sending a message to Cleveland perhaps)
Doubt he opts out if the Spurs hadnt beaten em the way they had. Amazing how ones series has changed everything.
Ya I am unsure what to think as to where he will go. BUT fuck the guy regardless. I hope the Knicks retain Shumpert and somehow do a sign and trade with melo
Obviously but it appears to me that there is a disconnect between Lebron/Riley and Lebron/Wade. Wade and Bosh have 5 days to make their decisions, Lebron put more pressure on them today. (More on Wade though cuz he has the most to lose if he opts out)
No but if Lebron takes a 1 year deal with Miami and the Knicks retain Carmelo, they would be in a position to sign him next year. The Bulls/Rockets need to move guys before they can really pursue him. Bulls need to get rid of Boozer and the Rockets need to get rid of Lin/Asik. If Carmelo is to leave, the best option would be to do a sign and trade with Chicago, get the draft pick(s) and Boozer (he only has one year left) so in 2015 they would have the money to bring in 2 superstars.
No of course not. But this is scary for Miami because now LeBron is available for the taking. Any team can make him an offer.
Not a Lebron fan, but I'm sort of rooting for him for the simple fact that he called Riley's bluff, and is basically saying "build a good roster and I'll come back, get off your ass and do your job this time." He's still a schmuck, but at least he's not just going to sit around in a shit team to collect his $20mil guaranteed while coach Spo keeps him on the court for 40 minutes a game. He got a look at what a truly great GM/HC combo can do when he played the Spurs this year.
It was a strategic move on his part, simple as that. He could of waited till the 29th but now he is given Riley 5 days to talk Wade out of his current contract. If Riley cannot, then Lebrons days in Miami might be numbered. (He might still comeback, but it will only be one year, a year in which they probably cant win the title, and Wade will be opting in for 2 years so Lebron would leave after next year anyway) Pressure is on now on Pat Riley.
I didn't even think of that. I forgot how much the guy plays on the court. It's amazing that he has the stamina he does now. It won't last long though
The future of the Heat depends on Wade, if he doesnt opt out, its over. Lebron might even come back next season but they wont be winning the title. He would just leave after next year because there are more spots available.
I disagree, the way I read it "The Big 3" aren't good enough to win multiple titles like they claim they were so now they need a 4th. I don't think it's Melo. I think it's Kyle Lowry
