Hello all! I understand that my first topic was closed and with good reason. (Administrator Petrozza, I respect the decision you made and don't wish to fight it, but I take umbrage with the idea that isportsweb does not get any views.) So I will not link offsite to isportsweb anymore, but I do encourage anyone interested to visit the site and read my latest article on Steele Divitto. I was tasked with picking one undrafted rookie with a shot of making the team. Because this is a discussion forum, I felt it would be appropriate for me to open up the discussion and ask if you like any of our undrafted guys in particular. Fire away!
Better question is which late round draft makes the team. Seems highly unlikely all 12 will make it let alone a UDFA. Although if any UDFA does have a chance to make the team it has to be Chad Young the fullback.
Love Chad Young. Reminds me of a mix between Alstott and Neal. Could be a real steal. Hope he is agile enough to line up
This is always a fun subject. Remember that Hawaiian UDFA safety we picked up about 10 years ago--guy was twirling flaming knives and shit and everyone was so high on the guy. Got cut the first week of training camp. _
Hey, you're the guy that runs that site www.xxxxxxxx.com, right? That is one sick site. Good deal. Learned some new positions, thanks. _
Chad Young might be the UDFA that gets picked up, he's a hammer and has decent hands catching and taking handoffs. He's a maniac blocking from the backfield. I call him IHOP since he has made a living of pancaking any guy that gets in front of him.
He WAS Polamalu. Until he wasn't. Remember Kevin Basped? The next LT until his knees couldn't hold up and he was cut on Hard Knocks. Or that pizza guy Westoff was making fun of. _
He was making a joke about that thread's title: "Chad Young needs his own thread" - I almost posted the link until I realized the joke.
No is was that guy Satele. LB Brashton Satele – Had some injury setbacks, but thanks to Mike Westhoff, he’s now free to open his “pizza stand” in the Bronx. We wish the flyin’ Hawaiian well. _
Love the aggressive blocking from Chad. But when you go back and watch Alstott tape he's blasting off 20-30 yard runs left and right. NO ONE in the secondary could tackle him. Heck, he even had a lot of LBrs scared. So that's one area of Chad's game that has to take off if he wants to make the team....aggressive take-no-prisoners running
