If you want to watch someone drop passes all day, then by all means bring him in :)

Little has averaged 52 catches and 607 yards per season in his three years. Those numbers would lead the Jets last year :)

Greg Little drops them at an alarming rate - worse then any of our receivers.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, Little was credited with seven drops in 2012 on just 85 target passes (8.2 percent). That is worse then any of the receivers we have. He was also a top receiver as well before Gordon came along.

Pass. Let one of the draftees see what they can do.

Perhaps, but they shouldn't come close this year (at least I hope not, or we're in trouble again offensively). I have no interest in Little. He has character issues as well as a lack of focus and dedication. I don't think Idzik will have any interest at all.

Doubt we would go after Greg Little but I'd welcome the signing with open arms.

Why? The guy has lamer highlights than Clyde Gates does.

Apparently we don't need him based on some these posts. I guess the mantra is "selective" competition.

Who gives a shit? No one is asking that he be brought here, given a $50 million in guaranteed money and handed a starting job. The kid has some talent bring him and let him earn a roster spot. Ras-I Dowling and Jaiquawn Jarrett were former released 2nd rounders too.

You're right, let's bring him in. Maybe they'll cut Clyde Gates so we can have a new most hated receiver that never plays.

As bad as you think he is or as bad as he may actually be, it wouldn't surprise anybody if he won the 2nd WR spot opposite Decker. I think that's what most of the people who don't want him here are afraid of.

I think he would do well in a WCO. Plus it wouldn't hurt for a team that needs receiver help.

This was a very insightful post so wanted to bump as I formulate my thoughts around who will be our top 4 WRs and who will get cut. Is there anyway that Saunders can play outside rather than being forced into the slot role or is he just too small to get off press coverage? Or is he the kind of receiver that's so fast corners will be hesitant to press.
The reason I ask is that, in the event Stephen Hill falters, could you envision a lineup with Decker and Saunders on the outside with Kerley manning the slot?

I would have to think that he would really struggle against the length of outside CBs. Though I wouldn't be surprised to see then throw a bubble screen or 2 from that type of formation.
If Hill doesn't claim the starting role this year I'm thinking the position will be rotational based on situation and less based on any one player.

Only issue with putting Saunders out wide is he'd be ineffective blocking for the run game, which is one thing Hill does very well.

Saunders is not a Kerley clone. Saunders is speed, Kerley is quick. They both play out of the slot and are small, but are not clones. Kerley does well underneath and horizontally, Saunders will do well down the field vertically.
