(love to be wrong about things like that if it means winning)
I've been posting that despite my skepticism, I am going forward hoping Walls takes the starting job by earning it. But ftr I don't mean by that that I am certain McDougle cannot earn the job, or even is less than likely to do so. Thanks for the info posted on him by various posters. If the Jets turn out to have picked a cb who deserves to start at the third round pick, well that would be awesome.
There were alot of perceived "Reaches" in this class from various teams. Ego Ferguson in round 2?Larry Webster in the 4th round? I could go on & on. Basically the big board went completely out the window due to the excessive number of underclassmen. Individual teams always look at underclassmen differently b/c there is less body of work to evaluate. This is when you get into iffy projections. That's naturally gonna put grades on players all over the place.That destroys the concept of league wide consensus. As a result, the smart teams don't worry about what others think & concentrate on their specific grade combined w/ trying to find the best fit..as opposed to best overall talent like in most draft years.
