HCD is the better true FS, but he doesn't really fit our scheme as well as Pryor. I really wanted HCD because I love his skill set, but it would have dictated Rex change up his scheme some. Rex plays 2 safeties who are more SS's and Pryor was my #3 guy behind HCD and Dennard and makes a lot of sense to me.
I've been saying this since day 1 ... Although OBJ peaked my interest late in the game ... Jordan Matthews Donte Moncrief Cody Latimer Davonte Adams Jarvis Landry Kelvin Benjamin .... Some of these guys will be around at 49, and would present much better value than Cooks at 18 ... especially considering we got the consensus best Safety prospect in the draft. Safety is so important in today's NFL I'm all with it lets get a WR to compete with HIll in round 2-3. I also think Amaro or another TE may be in play in round 2-3
I always liked Pryor more than Dix. Neither are really great free safeties in that sense, but I like Pryor more at the next level.
It's a good thing there is no guarantee every first round pick is going to be a pro bowler and still a chance for plenty of 2nd rounders to be pro bowlers..... also a good thing going to the pro bowl means nothing.
The Dalmore 15 or the Balvenie 14 and 15 are almost as good as the Balvenie 21 at less than 1/2 the price, but it's worth it to have a bottle around for special occasions. We did a Scotch tasting with the Balvenie guys, they brought a 39 that was INCREDIBLE. Only 50 bottles left. Wow. _
I hope for BPA WR in the 2nd round, then Niklas in the 3rd round. Could even take another WR in the 4th round.
Like I said earlier, we dont usually miss on defense, so im ok with the pick. As a jets fan, it's more of an obligatory complain. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
Mar......cus Smith. Thought he was gonna say Marqise Lee. If we are able to trade up and come back into the first and get him, that would be awesome. I liked Lee better than Cooks anyways.
Idzik said he was the best player on their board ... Why would he lie? I mean, they did pick him. Why would they pick the 3rd or 4th best player left on their board.
I'm very aware of the depth of the WR class. I'm talking in terms of the tier of WR we are looking at. Lee will most likely be one of the best WR coming out of this draft when it is all said and done. I think that he is being severely under-rated because of the injuries that have set him back. I understand the argument and it's hard to take a risk like that, but I have a feeling that this kid will be something very special in this league. I think he stays healthy and he has a great career. The only other WR's that I think might be close to the 1st tier of WR is Jordan Matthews and Davante Adams. I'm just really happy with Lee's skill set when healthy, I've been really enjoying watching his games lately and he is someone that I feel will be a steal in this draft. I just think he is worth securing and trading up for at this point.
