He got lucky he traded a player for a first round pick and then picked a great player? Yeah luck, sure.
I think MM prefers QBs with some athleticism (Vick, Geno, McNabb, Garcia, Young...etc.). In related news, Stephen Morris ran the second fastest 40 (4.63) by all QBs at the combine; second only to Logan Thomas. Faster than Johnny Football.
This could definitely be the spot for Dennard (or Verrett or Roby). Bengals (and the Chargers after them) need a corner.
Hey man I'm not hating, I'm happy as hell with Pryor. Just have to respect what they've done. Regardless of what you think of Manziel, it's gonna be fun to watch them. If he crashes and burns, at least it's gonna be a hell of a ride (in a city that seriously deserves a ride either way).
no it wouldn't you moron because we still would have had Revis n Cro. god some of you dudes are FUCKING dense
Because when the Jets took Sheldon Richardson last year they did not improve at all? Pryor is a genuine star possibility at safety. Allen is a 6th round pick who so far has played with a bit of upside on that. The Jets got much better with this pick, just like they did with Richardson last year.
@BrianCoz: Idzik said they are open minded about moving back into the first round. He just stepped out to take a call on that possibility.
Hopefully Bridgewater, Carr, and Garrapolo will all go before our pick, and a solid WR/TE/CB will fall to us.
The Cleveland overpay just upped the cost tremendously. We may be out of ammunition unless we consider offering future picks. I just don't see the value there that would make us consider offering future picks.
Half joke and half serious. Eric could not do much of anything well but he could thump with the best of them.
