So 6 of final 10 games are divisional games. Its interesting, it really leaves the door open regardless of how good or bad we do in our first 6 games.
I hope its a false schedule. Not a big fan. I thought the Chargers game should be before or after the BYE. Hate to have to fly back to Metlife for the best team we're getting on the schedule and then expect the guys to play the Pats at Foxboro on Thursday right after.
NFL really wants to reward CBS with some marquee games in the first half of this Thursday night partnership.
I was shocked at this intially, but remember, the Thursday night games are on CBS this year. I don't think last years NYJ/NE matchups were on SNF either.
I personally like the layout of the schedule (assuming it's accurate). You know with new offensive players, there might be some hiccups in the early part of the year with learning the scheme. Better to get them out on NFC teams (if we happen to lose) than divisional/conference opponents later in the season.
Last year it was a Thursday night matchup. Year before it was a thanksgiving matchup. 2011 it was Sunday night. 2010 it was Monday night. 2009: no primetime We don't play them on Sunday that often. Not just you, but a lot of people kind expected one Sunday night game? Am I missing something? Usually one is primetime since Rex got here but not necessarily Sunday night.
One thing I do like is the BYE is late. I was worried we could have gotten a shitty Week 4 BYE which is worthless.
Man our schedule is brutal if the links yall put up are true. Cant really predict a record our new secondary and offense is yet to be seen. It would be sickkkk if we came out like the cheifs did last season. Hope marty revamps CJ with great play calling and Geno is more poise.
Reposting it if the Jets website says this is offcial. Week 1: vs Oakland(1PM) Week 2: @ Green Bay 4:25PM Week 3: vs Chicago(MNF) 8:30PM Week 4: vs Detroit 1PM Week 5: @ San Diego 4:25PM Week 6: vs Denver 1PM Week 7: @ New England(Thursday Night) Week 8: vs Buffalo 1PM Week 9: @ Kansas City 1PM Week 10: vs Pittsburgh 1PM Week 11: BYE Week 12: @ Buffalo 1PM Week 13: vs Miami(MNF) 8:30PM Week 14: @ Minnesota 1PM Week 15: @Tennessee 4PM Week 16: vs New England 1PM Week 17: @Miami 1PM No idea if there's Sunday night games but we have 3 games that aren't on Sunday. Denver game being 1 PM game is so stupid on so many accounts. That should have been an easy 4PM game. Then again I guess its because of the TNF game.
Once you do, I will add the schedule to the first post. Mods can you change the title to "Official 2014 Schedule Discussion"
Exciting schedule against some good teams. Gonna be tough, but if where gonna make the playoffs well be battle tested for sure.
