McCluster will be a RB for the Titans not a receiver. And the fact that the Titans aren't going all out for a RB shows that they may finally get it as RB is one of the least important and easiest to find parts of a team.
I actually defended you early on as not being a troll, but the less you respond to posts and the more you just make stand alone posts is starting to make me feel like I was wrong. Good luck with McCluster and Greene, I'll be watching the results.
Are you disagreeing with me about the importance of the running back position? A troll is someone that goes onto message boards and says stuff just to say things. I have argued about one topic and been consistent in my argument. There is a huge difference. We have a guy on our message board that taunts everything Titans because he gets under people's skin. People may disagree with my opinion and I may be annoying people but it's not because I'm trying to. It's because my opinion is not a popular one and clearly one that many find absurd. Not going to change how I feel. Regardless, it's been fun talking football with you all for a few days.
Here's something to think about..I am pretty sure everyone would agree that if Chris Johnson were to get the Jets 1400 combined yards and 10 touchdowns we would all be thrilled even if he was being forcefed as you say all season..why, because I am sure if he did we would be in the playoffs this year..so maybe, just maybe he was never the Titans real problem.
If Chris Johnson posts those stats you guys will have a problem. He was signed to be a complement to Chris Ivory and be an occasional big play guy. You need the stats to be put up by Michael Vick or Geno Smith not Chris Johnson.
The purpose was to give my opinion and leave. People have continued to respond to me so I'm still here. I feel like every 5 minutes I'm getting an email from the site saying a new reply has been made to something I said.
Of course people will respond to you, but that doesn't answer my question. You take the time to sign up and come on a Jets forum to post about a running back we signed that used to play for your team, for what? What's the purpose in giving your opinion on here? I can understand if you are a Patriots, Bills, or Dolphins fan, but a Titans fan? Hell, if you were a Titans fan and were just on here because you liked the board and enjoyed talking football, then fine, but you are literally here to just talk about a guy you used to have on your roster. Wtf is the purpose of that? And then, now that you've said what you've wanted to say, you are looking to walk away and be done with it. Honestly, what the hell was the purpose? I'm just gonna go around on different forms, join, talk shit, then leave.
There is a difference in being consistent in your argument and just repeating the same crap when a solid argument has been provided to the contrary, and that argument is ignored. That is why people are calling you a troll. I didn't think that was a big deal, since you don't seem to be all that good at arguing football, but sounded like a passionate fan, I just chalked it up to persistence and fandom. But here you are now, repeating the same disproven weak arguments and calling it consistency, and you don't even really seem all that interested in defending your arguments, just repeating them over and over again, and I have seen trolls do that ad nauseam. Aside from a screenshot and a Football Outsiders page, and some boring stuff about how you have always argued against Johnson, what do you have to offer? Because your shit has become boring and repetitive real fast, and here in the civilized world, we get trolls like that all the time.
To be honest with you this is the first time I've ever joined a non-Titans football thread. I did it because someone on our board posted it and couldn't believe some of the comments that people made so I took it upon myself to come here and give my opinion. Obviously it's gone well past that but if you wanted to know why I joined that's the reason. Not to piss people off or "troll," which I'm not doing and have never done.
Yep, that is always how it begins. Some dope goes to another message board to "see what the other fans think" and then henpecks five or six posts and says "look how dumb these guys are" and the next thing that happens is the little guy that wants to prove his team cred signs up and tries to "show them the error of their ways." And 9 times out of 10, that guy is the least capable of that home forum to debate the issue, and ends up embarrassing other fans when he goes back to that home forum and says "hey guys, look what I just did!" Glad you helped me figure you out.
go find me these "incredible" comments people have made. all i've seen is everyone saying he is not cj2k but still has some big play capability.
Lmao @ the thought of Dexter McCluster carrying the football more then 10 times. He's an excellent returner and can catch the football that's it. Unproven as a RB. Lmao @ McCluster and Greene carrying the load. LOL @ Greene even outperforming CJ. CJ had more yards with a bad knee then I think Greene had ever (or it's close) A delusional homer you are.
Why? I would be more interested in making you provide an argument, or making you flip out, or making you leave, because one of those is bound to happen. Probably just the middle one, though.
The jets are going to have a problem if chris johnson puts up 1400 yards and 10 tds? I'm being serious when I ask ... are you retarded?
At the risk of restating the obvious by many of you on this board I think the Tennessee fans venom towards CJ is misguided and driven by massive frustration towards the overall ineptness of the team and some of the coaching staff. CJ is the most visible target for their anger because up to a year or so ago he was the team, the prince in shining amour that could literally put the Titans on his shoulders and make them a contender. That is no longer the case, he needed help, and although his productivity declined some the overall talent of the team appeared to decline far more. IMO he played hurt, often unsupported, and was far more lethal and critical to their success than the fans gave him credit for. When you played the Titans in 2013 you still game planned to stop CJ first and foremost. End of story. I'm sorry to disappoint their fans but I'm convinced they will not be better without him. Unless the titans come through with a spectacular draft they might move from one dimensional to handicapped. The Jets on the other hand needed someone like him for exactly the opposite reason. CJ can move our offense from one dimensional to multi dimensional and open the game plan by a bunch. The opposing Ds will no longer feel comfortable with 8 in the box on every first and second down, not with a two headed RB monster combo, a mobile QB threat, and improving OL, and a RB that like it or not is still a major "take it to the house threat" as well as a great receiver. If we supplement Decker with a solid draft of WR and or TE....watch out. Hell, I'll take my chances with CJ any day. It will make the Jets O unpredictably better.....and the Titans an offensive team not to be feared.....much like we were in 2013.
Believe me I am thrilled as hell that he's a Jet and not a Titan. I think the majority of Titans fans feel the same as I do. As far as Johnson's statistics, when he's putting up stats like that it means he's getting the ball too much, the QB is doing too little, and likely it means that they are losing because of poor QB play. The only time that the Titans have been over .500 since Johnson became a full-time starter was in 2011. That was also Johnson's worst year. But Matt Hasselbeck put up the most passing yards that the franchise had since I believe Warren Moon. And Hasselbeck also missed parts of 3 games. That was also the season that the Titans ran mostly a version of the run n shoot, an offense that Johnson should have thrived in because it was so wide open.
