hmmm...sounds pretty familiar Manish Mehta @MMehtaNYDN 5m Best nickname for Jets backfield of Chris Johnson & Chris Ivory that I've heard so far comes from @JaredMCohen: "Two-Dreaded Monster" #nyj
No sour grapes. I've been saying the same things for a long time now. I wanted him gone after 2010, was not happy that they extended him in 2011 and am relieved that he's finally gone. The Titans franchise has been mismanaged for a long time now and they finally seem to be getting things on track and realizing that to win in this league you can't do it by building your team around a running back. Bringing in Ken Whisenhunt was the best thing that the franchise has done in a long, long time and my guess is he had influence in Johnson's departure. He said himself that he wants a RB by committee approach and Johnson is not going to want to be a part-time player. I can't see Johnson being too happy if he's only a part-time guy with the Jets but who knows.
The one thing you said earlier which concerned me, was something to the effect of poor at pass protection and hands of stone. I'm assuming his best value add to the Jets will be on 3rd downs. Seems like he catches 40 passes a year, and i can't recall many drops or blown protection assignments. obviously you have watched more Titans games than me. Can you qualify your statements regarding that?
lmao, holy shite! that hack reads this board doesn't he? who coined that name here? They should get full credit for being plagiarized by this tabloid hack!
That was 88toon. I'm guessing @JaredMCohen ripped it off from here and took credit for it on Twitter. http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/chris-johnson-officially-a-jet.80687/page-3#post-2981740 23 hours ago, and JaredMCohen posted that to Manish no Twitter 5 hours ago. Weasel.

He does catch a ton of balls. The balls have to be thrown right to him though, he'll almost never make a tough catch, he doesn't run routes for the most part, and he drops a lot of catchable balls. Sometimes you have to do more than just look at the stats to know what a player is like. There were three plays this year in which he caught passes for long touchdowns. One was a called screen against the 49ers in a game in which the Titans trailed by 21 at the time, so they were basically playing prevent and Johnson can be dangerous in space as we all know. Another one was against KC when the play pretty much broke down, Johnson happened to be standing there and Ryan Fitzpatrick shoveled it to him. The defense was nowhere near him which allowed the play to go for what it went for. The 3rd was against Arizona and it was similar to the KC play. Broken play. Johnson will stand around and if the play breaks down or if the play takes a long time to develop it can be easy to lose Johnson if you're trying to cover other receivers or get to the QB. You can probably find the highlights of the KC and AZ plays on youtube. On the Titans board it's basically a party. Pretty much every big-time Titans fan was done with him.
I'm not here acting like you and thinking I know it all. I said IF he gets back to old CJ I didn't say he would. As for teams passing on players I can sit here and give you many names where teams passed on players and where wrong. Plus CJ going to be playing with a chip on his shoulder. It seems your the one who thinks you knows more then anybody on here.
Johnson's been playing with a chip on his shoulder for a while. People have been doubting him since his pathetic 2011 season.

You'd take Geno Smith over Locker? That's funny. Michael Vick is obviously more seasoned and as big an injury risk as Locker. I want to see Locker play a full season before judging him. And if he can't do it this season then he's likely gone anyways. Whitehurst is awful. On Smith's level.
