iPhone at home has it's advantages, as much as I hate the "smart" corrections. Typing from comp from work.... that's how you get "failry" close to error-free
It's funny because most of the media has turned around on the Jets since last year, even Mehta and Cimini, and his attitude is making him look silly.
"Immature", that's the word I think describes Walter well. Despite him being around 30 yo, he is immature.
Speaking of Mehta ,just read a News article that CJ was asked to outrun a cheetah in 220 yard dash only last Summer. Report states that Cheetah just beat him out! If report true then that knee is looking fine. When he is on breakaway for Jet TD poo on all the doubters
That's true, there was a commercial done of it at the time..of course that was before his knee injury but still I think we will see speed on the Jets that this team has never seen before, even when they had Johnny Lam Jones.
He hasn't called Vick by his real name since I think 2007. I know what he did was disgusting and all but geez be a professional and put your beliefs and feelings aside. "No.7" "QBDK" "Quarterback Dog Killer #7" "Starting Quarterback of the Eagles" "Starting Quarterback of the Jets". He's of the belief that every contract that isn't a 1 year prove it deal is a bad deal. He also hates any big WR signing or getting traded to another team....which is why the Decker signing got a C. Dude was on Decker's nuts before FA but once he signed with the Jets.....he's nothing more than a product of Peyton Manning. He believes teams like the Jags will never get better because of the moves they made this offseason but always trumps the horn of the Pats and Broncos, the big market team by saying the "Rich get Richer". Oh and his Matt Millen/F grades....so played out. Matt Millen isn't even doing anything in the NFL anymore. Dude is terrible. Charlie Campbell on the other hand is pretty good, his mocks have more detail and have no agenda or ego in them.
Yeah, CJ and Devin Hester both raced the cheetah. Hester actually "won", although the cheetah didn't actually make the turn to come back as quickly as it did against Johnson: http://ftw.usatoday.com/2013/11/devin-hester-chris-johnson-cheetah/
I think this part of it pretty much states why he thinks Rex will be gone and it has to do with the record this season.
The bolded part is certainly true, however, those things have no relation to jets this off-season! Jets did not sign Revis, nor DeSean... not Jennings, not another 20 flashy FOs. Idzik's moves were very non-hype, just look at the Hate Crew (stealing this from Byz ) reaction on this site. Now to disappointments... 8-8 and world-wide predictions of 4 max is a disappointment? Walter himself predicts Jets to finish as the bottom 1-2 teams this coming season (based on his mock draft). How is it possible to disappoint when you're projected to finish nearly last in the league?!
These guys already have an agenda before writing their lame articles. Walter is obviously a Jet hater and as such is already biased in his opinion. To me it's more an article on what he wishes would happen rather then being based on any insight on his part. Loser
The one poster asked why one player is going to get Rex fired, I responded that Walter felt it will lead to the Jets having next to the worst record in football this year and ultimately his firing. You responded with He may have given some other factors that he think will cause this losing season but nothing like you posted and ultimately it comes down to walter thinks, second worst record in league and Rex gets fired. It has nothing to do with handicapping, trends or anything like that. I think you are trying to look way too deep into a simple concept.
@AdamSchefter: Jets have some concerns about condition of RB Chris Johnson's knee, and the arthritis in it, but not enough not to sign him to 2-year deal.
The problem with the Walter Football projection is that it is just ill-considered. If you look at what the Jets have done under Rex Ryan with really poor offensive talent available to them you realize that he's about as bulletproof as it comes in terms of having really bad seasons. If the locker room went south for some reason and the Jets lost several key players to injury they might go 4-12. That's about the floor for a Rex Ryan coached team because he's going to have them playing hard even at the end of the season. Same was true for Herm Edwards, but that's another story.
I mentioned handicapping only in reference to Walter's habit of heavily relying on trends, as examplified by this: Clearly a "trends" re CJ and Vick. true, but has nothing to do with Jets this off-season -- my point in the previous post. Pure speculation based on bias and past "trends".
