Any even halfway decent lawyer would want to look over the papers about to be pushed in front of his client to sign. NM, in NJ I think you can void any contract within 72 hours after signing it..At least you used to be able to do that.

To tack on to the post you quoted... I hear they have these things called PDF files now which is basically a carbon copy of whatever papers there are being pushed in front of their client. GM's can send these PDFs as "attachments" in said emails and agents can then view them as if they were right in the room.

Hearing from a team source that interest between Jets, Chris Johnson is "mutually high between both parties." #nyjets #jetstwitter

You would like to think that a GM would not try to screw over an agent or vice versa considering how high profile of a job they both have and how important the relationship is...

Chris Johnson flew up to visit with the Jets... and no other teams in the Garden State. #nyj

So does that mean he has left, has nowhere else to go or is still there?

    Still there.

They are probably just pointing out that the Jets were his go to destination

I'm guessing today's visit was similar to when Tomlinson first came to visit and they rolled out the red carpet to woo him. I'm sure the Jets threw a ballpark figure at CJ's agent to get him to visit but I doubt they have worked out the finer details of the contract.

    Exactly what I'm thinking.

I do think he signs today. I can't see them letting him leave with nothing

IF Idzik gets CJ signed I will back off him for now.

For now? Adding a 1000 yard receiver and running back wouldn't be enough?

He's already added the best WR available when free agency began. He added the best option at QB. What's there to be on him about? Revis? Not an acceptable answer.

Oh well in that case, he better get him signed. The last thing Idzik needs is fans not agreeing with him.

To be fair, he could be concerned about Geno007 egging his house.
