It's not a huge deal, having tapatalk, but the tgg app still isn't working. You can read articles, but can't get on the forum itself. Just keeps saying loading..
minor detail but the color scheme isn't integrated in the account area left menu: http://forums.theganggreen.com/account/ blue and pink instead of shades of green
This new board has a nice clean look and I like the functionality of the profiles and search engine. I guess if I were to nitpick, when you start typing a post in the quick reply window, it gets cached in there for that thread until you make another post, whether or not you delete it out of there. Makes for some pretty confusing posts because most people don't realize some half-idea is stuck at the top of the window even after they try to reply to a different post.
It gets stuck there because of the "Auto save" feature. If you click on the "disk" and clear drafts, it will cancel the quoted message.
Yes sir! Just watched the Blood Eagle episode the other night, eagerly awaiting King Horik to get his beat-down and hope I don't have to wait until next season for it. Great fucking show.
Aye me and my GF save it for Sunday morning with bacon sarni's and tea, perfect! That Blood Eagle was gruesome! Horik is definitely on Ragnar's shit-list but I think he'll play him until they go back to England, he needs boats and men. Its starting to look like Ragnar will get his wish and have 2 wives...I think (hope ) I wonder how much they are going to stick to history or embellish a little. The names and places they are using existed and well known. Interestingly, there was a King Athelstan who ended up defeating the Vikings in the battle of Brunanburh, I just wonder if our Monk is going to turn out to be him. I loved the episode when they raided Hexham as its about half an hour from where we live and there is still visible evidence of their presence. Here in the North-East many Vikings made their homes and I think it was Northumbria Uni that conducted DNA tests which revealed a high proportion of Scandinavian DNA in the region.....you never know
I was hoping I wasn't the only one watching this that knew the characters were based on historic figures. I didn't know about King Althestan, and reading about him right now. I knew about Ragnar Lodbrok but it looks like they are different timelines, I think the consensus is that the real Ragnar was the father of the leaders of the Great Heathen Army that invaded England about 70 years before King Althestan was born, so if they intend on raising Althestan to king (which I can see happening with recent events) it looks like they are taking historic liberties, but I have no problem with that. Also like that they used the blood eagle, although that is more fabled and there is little proof that it existed as an execution method.
Ragnar went Tony Roma medival on Jarl Borg's ass taking baby back ribs to another level. "Hey cut it out Ragnar, that hurts!"
