Just had clips of it on ESPN. Wow. This guy sounds like a whimpering weakling. http://abcnews.go.com/International...story?id=23251260&ref=https://www.google.com/ Apparently there's a video on the Internet of him shooting watermelons with friends and laughing about a "zombie stopper" head shot, exploding the watermelon. The prosecutor played the video and said Pistorious exploded HER head. Geez. As an aside, gotta love the criminal courts down there- you can badger the witnesses all you want without objection _
The whole story is so tragic. :-( My heart goes out to both families. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
Coming off like a weakling is part of his plan. The goal is to make him seem sympathetic. That zombie stopper stuff today was great for the prosecution though.
Rich daddy that got his self entitled son into the Olympics. What a farce. This guy should fry like a shrimp on the barbie. Wrong country but they all sound alike. _
The court system is a joke, and this is why. Shooting a watermelon and laughing about zombie head shots doesn't make you guilty of murder. This is like if I was on trial and they showed footage of me playing Grand Theft Auto and cheering as I take out the cops. The guy was an absolute moron to shoot her but I don't believe it was intentional.
He was an angry angry guy that had previous incidents of domestic violence at his house. He sounds to me like an entitled debutante the type of guy who would shoot his woman because of some perceived slight. I am neither judge nor jury but from my reading of this incident this was no accident. Massive house, gated community, private security force, fight with the GF, yeah, that was just an unintentional accident. Love the prosecutorial process down there. Our system could learn a thing or two from them. Still can't believe his daddy got him into the Olympics. That's worse than the Prince of Monaco being on the Olympic Bob sledding team. _
Give me a break man. He suspects there is a burglar in the house. And his only reaction is to shoot 4 times. Give me a break. Psychopath SOB. I hope they rape him in South Africa jail and make his anus bleed off of rape.
My guess, not guilty of murder. Guilty as hell for involuntary manslaughter and negligence (firing on an unidentified target). Some pictures of the crime scene http://www.nydailynews.com/news/wor...ius-fatally-shot-girlfriend-article-1.1740454
can he keep his legs in prison? I think he was trying to kill her, but he's going to prison regardless of whether they can prove that intent or not.
Yeah, I hated this guy before he did his killing. He cheated in the Olympics (fake legs) and then generated sympathy for it. He should not have been in the regular Olympics.
Man she was gorgeous...This guy knows he fucked up big time because of his anger issues and now will need to pay for it.
No jury is kind of weird. Makes the prosecutor's job a bit easier since they don't have to deal with star-struck jurors. He's going down. The prosecution is doing a good job of showing that he's got a history of shooting guns in a dangerous manner. His claim that he "awoke" to what he thought was a burglar is B.S. - Neighbors heard shouting and an argument beforehand. If he thought he was shooting a burglar, what is the burglar doing in his bathroom with the door closed and why didn't he notice that SteenKamp wasn't in his bed? First thing I do when awakened by a sound in the middle of the night is start blasting into the bathroom! Come on man.
Please excuse my ignorance but I didn't even know who this guy was until the shooting. Why did this trial become so big in USA? I am on a business trip and this morning at the breakfast some folks were watching the trial on their iphones and discussing it. Wow.
He was big because the Olympics allowed him to cheat (fake legs) and somehow he got sympathy for it. "Oh, look at the guy with no legs competing with normal people."
No problem. Anyone who has an issue with my comments here should post a You Tube clip of the insensitive man scene from "So I Married An Axe Murderer" .
