I don't disagree but CJ definitely hasn't been sharing the carries, he hasn't had less than 260 carries since his rookie year. He's made up at least 80% of the attempts by RBs on the Titans pretty much every year he's been on the team. That being said, that is pretty remarkable durability.

He might be our best pickup since Curtis Martin and heck in his sixth year Curtis avg'd 3.8 a carry and came back with 3 years of 4.5/1513 4.2/1094 4.1/1308

Not to mention he has far less carries as Martin had coming into year 7, 2010, for Curtis... 1742 for CJ I say go for it of course if the price is right.

Sounds like an awesome vet pick up! If we were fine and dandy picking up TJ & LT those years well passed their primes (even though it was TJ's best year i know) but still was up there in age when we brung him in .

What decline is that? You mean when he played with a torn meniscus for 13 games last year? Or the year before when he ran for 1243 yards and a 4.5 ypc? Do you realize what the Jets would pay for a back that could do that? Oh wait, you won't have to wait long to find out just how much.

Yeah, Jones ran for over 1000 yards in each of his 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th seasons and he was never the back Johnson was yet people here will tell you Johnson is dead and in decline after 6 seasons.

Lol i just dont understand some of the things being bloated out here about CJ. How do u not get a RB whose only 28 and was pretty much top 3 at his position since stepping in league ( i guess thats carry debatable round these parts) . I remember for his first 4 years it was AP, CJ, then everybody else in that order. Now hes jus some average oodle in the noodles when his production hasn't even dropped drastically ever? Come on...

cj2k has been top 25 in the league for all purpose yards the last 3 seasons.

As a point of reference the Jets best all purpose player last year was Powell at 70th.

This is excellent analysis. Signing Johnson is an absolute no-brainer. But reports today say Idzik has not even contacted CJ's camp...,

Who is reporting that our GM hasn't contacted a player who hasn't been released from another team yet? Sounds like a bullshit reporter.
