Um no, not at all. I was in fact replying to this statement, the original post. I don't know what all your other bs is about. Whether or not we sign him has nothing to do with it. Ivory and Johnson could be epic together, but they also could not. By saying they would be epic together, he is (unintentionally I'm sure) making a guarantee. I don't think he believes this, but that is speculation on my part and doesn't really matter.
Then again he may only be saying that the two of them playing together would be epic and not necessarily the resulting success or lack of same.
After the Titans cut him I'm sure some stupid report will come out that he has ties to a Drug Cartel or something and we will end up passing on him

Its obvious that Chris Johnson doesn't like the runningback by commitee thing witch makes me nervous that a team with less depth at running back will make a better offer then us and offer him the 1 spot on the depth chart
He's gotta be good with the RBBC to be good for the Jets. He doesn't have plus value as a 300 carry a year back at this point. He didn't have plus value at 279 last year for the Titans.
Lol, if he were signed it would either result in epic success, epic failure, or an ok combination. How could something be epic if it were not incredibly good or incredibly bad? That's what the definition of epic is.
Brad, Lots of people have made the observation that last season the Tits had a crap OL. And Johnson had knee issues. Assuming he's healthy and behind a better OL, wouldn't you expect better than that? He's not a new player, but he's still in his twenties. I don't think it clear he's over the hill by any means. Having said that, I also think he would prefer to go to a team where he would be the featured back, not a committtee type back. If he comes to the Jets then I am wrong about that. Either that or that he couldn't get signed anywhere else.
20 RBs have joined new teams this offseason. I can't imagine there is much of a market left for him which helps us immensely.

Source says #Jets came closest After reading this again I am thinking it may be troubling to anybody who wants the Jets to sign him. I'm sure the hangup wasn't going to be the draft pick we would give up. It must have been the restructuring of his deal and if we couldn't come to terms with him before today there is no reason to believe we can now. I am guessing we may be out.
