If Holmes was such a problem down the stretch in 2011, how come the Jets kept him on the team for two more years? How come they would wheel him out as a team spokesman in post game interviews?

Earlier in the season the OL was playing badly and the Jets lost a couple of games in a row. Holmes, a team captain, said something about that to the press, and i think it was Moore who reacted to that. But the net result was that the OL improved and the Jets won their next few games.

We all know about Schotty benching Holmes in the middle of a game. But the season was already down the toilet by then. It is ridiculous to blame Holmes as a major factor in the 2011 season. Clearly the main problem was that the CS believed it was time for Sanchez to step up, and he did not.

Who says they overpaid, you? What the fuck do you know about it? And they also stole Rahsaad Jennings too.

hard to step up when you can't run and you have no weapons. 2011 was not Holmes' fault but he was a culprit like so many including Rex, mark, the D, OL, run game, etc...It was a team effort to blow that season.

Why do you have to curse?

It's funny, when the Jets are overpaying for bigger names in FA and the Giants sit back everyone praises the Giants and bashes the Jets, the Giants do it and the Jets sit back and now you are praising the Giants and bashing the Jets. The Giants did not get better this offseason(unless the QB plays more like 2008 or 2011 than 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013)

Not saying it's a bad thing, but Idzik probably has a number for CJ he won't budge from. One of these other teams will go over Idzik's number and that will be the end of that.

Yea instead we should just look at things irrationally and make uninformed statements because we only feel good about ourselves when we bash the team.

No great surprise, but Titans are releasing RB Chris Johnson today, per source close to situation. Johnson will be a free agent.

Here we go Im praying for him to come here. Smash Brothers? (Ivory and CJ2K)

Chris Johnson looks like he lost a step. Only sign if he comes cheap, but I don't think he will.

I don't think he lost a step at all. He was rushing behind a pitiful offensive line and still managed 1,000 yards and 6 TDs.

Early in his career, he had the quickness to run around defenders. He seems to have lost a step or lost the confidence to run around defenders, constantly does stutter-steps and doesn't seem to see/hit the holes as well as he used to. If we grab him, hopefully I'm wrong.

I think that happened because of the offensive line. I watched him a lot last year, due to my fantasy league, and he was constantly given the ball with a defender immediately in his face. He would dance around because there was no hole for him to hit. When there's a hole, he hits it, and he hits it hard. Look what he did to us with one hole

Watched the combine and fell in love with Cooks. Guy looked really polished. Disagree about Djax though, guy is a headache we don't need.

Cooks is a playmaker man. The kid gets the ball in his hands and BAM, he's gone!
Seems to have maturity beyond his years , also
