My confusion of the day IS he broke ranks and paid a career injury prone journeyman 3 mill a year. I'm not even sure what to say now. I guess idzik isn't cheap. L I didn't even think Patterson would make the team. I guess he's the starter. Lol

Ford could be sans injuries, Gates was awful AND injury prone. For every little bit of good he did, there was 2 bits of stupid from him. Ford might not even make the team , I can see us taking at least 1, maybe 2 WR in this draft. I'll take Hill over Gates based on that one play Hill pulled the ball down and was destroyed by Polamalu but held onto it.

Can not believe all the hate after each minor signing. Idzik is systematically cleaning our roster up from the bottom up.Ford is a solid punt receiver and Special KR. Gates "the preseason wonder" is now on his way out in all probability, If Idzik replaces King ugly next with an upgrade I see 4 good moves to make our team better.

Every one want the Big Splash WR, who is currently being entertained by Washington and the Raiders, both know for reckless spending and major free agency blunders. That ain't the GM I want.

While Idzik is quietly improving the lower tier pieces of the team, quietly and efficiently, others are going balls out with the flash of free agency. If there is one area of the draft that is very deep is with WRs, so why get into a negotiation war for Mr clean D Jackson ?
Can't help but think, how did that approach work out for Miami last year when they over paid tremendously for their WR?

You build the team from the trenches forward, having extra money to pull strings going into the draft and pre season is never a bad thing, when some of the other teams find themselves in jeopardy cap wise.

Raiders fans would say the same things about Ford that you just said about Gates,I think we are all in for a major dissapointment in round 1 of the draft this year.I think we go wr or te in round 2 and defense in round 1, I could see us taking this CB Dennard in round 1 now even though Ebrons still available and it would drive me crazy

Doesn't "other teams' unwanted players" define every free agent? A player only becomes a free agent when his current team no longer wants him.

Speed isn't everything when you consider the other intangibles that Jacoby Ford is lacking in

Jacoby is an extremely fast player, I wouldn't be surprised if he is utilized in the wildcat.

Technically it does, I only wish we could have signed a few guys that other teams actually wanted. We cornered the market in grabbing guys no one wants. I'm in shock idzik let vlad get away.,

How is Idzik cleaning up our roster from bottom to top by signing guys to 1 deals who likely won't return after this season

I never said it was everything just stating that he simply has blazing speed, which he does. He also can't stay healthy.

Hes a number 4 receiver and here for ST. We need a kick returner so I dont understand how you could have a problem with this. If we decide to make a move for a WR in FA, trade, or the draft this move has 0 effect on it.
