Just got the text. Awesome news for returning. That's not going to give us receiving help, but oh well.. Edit: what a lame 7000th post.
no terms released yet... Decker Kerley Nelson Ford Hill gotta imagine we've seen the last of clyde gates and if they go WR in round 1 hill has gotta be on a short leash
nice like this signing a lot. not a flashy move by any means but a solid pick up and a guy that could potentially do well here in this offense. i have a feeling there is going to be some serious competition for the lower spots on the depth chart at wr this year, and i like that a lot. maybe we try and trade gates or hill and get some value back, otherwise like has been posted before not sure where this leaves gates and hill. i dont feel like we should be giving up on hill just yet but the team needs some upgrades at wr so he might ahve to go
Awesome signing. Guy has such talent but could never stay healthy. If we can get him to stay on the field, he could be an awesome return guy.
LET ME PREFACE this by saying,,,,I could care less if they sign D jAX or ever considered him,,,,,,that said if you look under Fords jersey there is a label that says handle with care extremely fragile,,,,,,,,,,this signing does nothing for me , this guy cannot stay on the field and when he does he is invisable !
i dont know about a better josh cribbs but hes definitely younger we need a return specialist on this team. the jets have been missing that big return threat since brad smith left really. mcknight was alright but also untrustworthy. remember when leon was on the team and you got that feeling like he could take it to the house on any given return? we need that again. kerley is too valuable now to the offense to play special teams, and there is nobody else on the roster that fits the bill until now.
Looks like we got our punt returner....and WR4. The depth chart now: Eric Decker Jeremy Kerley David Nelson Jacoby Ford Clyde Gates Stephen Hill Looks like Idzik is modeling this team after the Seahawks (not surprisingly I guess). Not investing much money on the offense; trying to win with D. Only with us, it's an elite front 7 and average secondary...some would say that's a smarter plan, that you build from the inside out as they say. Still not clear whether we will be drafting CB or WR in round 1.
Yep. He has 4 special teams TDs (including 2 101 yard TD returns) and was the fastest guy in his draft class. Probably too small to be a good receiver, but he could definitely be a big help as a return guy.
Will take it. At least it makes Idzick look like he's doing something. I personally like Cribbs more..
