I just try to not act like some "fanboy" or cheerleader who is happy with whatever his team does no matter what. When you throw in the fact that I wasn't alive when we last won a Superbowl I have zero patience ,and then you throw in the fact of Rexs first two years and how close we looked only to have it completley fall apart and become a circus.I just no longer have patience
so theres no way Milliner can improve? Cro was BRUTAL last year. Absolutely, God awful. Milliner was better than Cro last year and he was a rookie.
Not to change the subject, but what happened to all the talk about trading for Joseph and finalize our corner position for the near term? Was that more BS from our unknowledgeable media? Or may be the Jets are happy with what we have plus a solid draft choice.
I'm more obliged to believe the latter given how little the media has gotten right. One thing thats become increasingly apparent though, relating to what you said about the jets begin happy with what they have, is that Idzik is content to go into the season with lesser names battling it out for a starting CB spot regardless of what he does. and that fact will drive us nuts.
What's so funny? I'm not knocking anybody. It is hard to believe the Jets will carry 12 rookies on their roster. 6th and 7th round picks are frequent training camp cuts. The Jets will have 5 of those guys. I said the over/under is 3 of these picks will be cut. Thus, it will be 2-4 players, in my opinion, that get cut. Hey, if 10 of these picks are on the roster come opening day, come back and remind me how funny this idea was. The dude made a good point, we have 12 draft picks, but a bunch in the late round. They are almost always worthless. Look at the odds. Numbers don't lie. I'll give you $10 if you can go back to the 6th and 7th round of the 2011 draft, and you can name 10% of those picks that are still relevant. Not saying its a bad thing to have all those picks ... It increases the incredibly unfavorable odds that we will strike gold with one of those picks, having 5 instead of 2.
We are clearly over confident since we went 8 -8 ,had we gone 4-12 this offseason would of been a lot diffrent I think.I honestly am shocked we are that happy with our current group of safteys ,I like Allen but Landry isn't a great starter I thought we would pursue a saftey in FA not to mention a CB
As did we all..I decided Idzik has written into his contract that he gets to keep 10% of what he doesn't spend each year.
Gonna throw names out. Aging Experienced players that could help and come fairly cheap. TE's: Dallas Clark, Ed Dickson or Alex Smith. Worth a look? no Interest?
Landry was by far our best player in the secondary last year.....which says a lot about our secondary. I also thought we would look to add a CB and FS. I'm shocked we didn't, and am pretty convinced it was a mistake not to.
Dallas Clark could fit the role that Winslow played for us last year if he still has any gas in the tank, I would pass on the other two.
@ManishMehta Jets eyeing Texas Tech TE Jace Amaro, per team source. #NYJ scheduled to bring Amaro in for pre-draft visit. This makes me think Idzik believes Ebron will be gone by number 18. Look for a guy like Amaro in the second round. Possibility of trading up to get him?
