Great play drawn by Spoelstra. Great close out by Hibbert.

Very entertaining game, the only question if these two brings can bring this intensity against other teams, something they have both struggled with

Pacers gain possession up 4 with 36 to go and almost blow it.

Hill 83.4% from the line this year.

^ David West hitting a 3 was ridiculous. That game had all types of entertainment.

Overdue in the sense that they have won the most games in that 7 year span and do not have the title. It truly sucks what happened last season.

They had their chances, just didn't execute in the playoffs. They had OKC on the ropes and won 10 playoffs games in a row before dropping 4 straight.
Didn't rebound last year or make free throws. It happens to the best of them

Houston guard Patrick Beverley has suffered a torn meniscus in his knee, league sources tell Yahoo Sports. Timetable for return unclear.

Big blow for Houston. Was a capable perimeter defender for them and now they lose that.

    Westbrook's Revenge

As for the Spurs, they have a lot in common with the Patriots. Lots of regular season success (most consistently good regular season team), but repeatedly falling short in the playoffs since they had a good run in the aughts.

    2008: lost in conference finals
    2009: lost in first round
    2010: lost in second round
2011: lost in first round as a #1 seed
2012: lost in conference finals as a #1 seed
    2013: lost NBA Finals

They've only made the NBA Finals once in the last six seasons, despite dominating the regular season.

It'd be pretty crazy if they could win an NBA title with a 38 year old Duncan, a 32 year old Parker, a 36 year old Ginobili, a 32 year old Diaw, and a 65 year old Popovich.

I say Duncan and Ginobili never win another NBA title. This is their best chance, though (just like 2014 was Denver and New England's last best chance), because they will almost certainly have the best record in the NBA.

I always thought the Spurs and Pats had a lot of parallels including getting there early and not getting there again, coach that hates the media, squeaky clean superstars. Good call

That kinda killed their chances of making a finals run. Its not the biggest loss (like losing Harden or something), but they NEED Beverley.

It is amazing though how Pop has kept them ticking and going strong for so long but the title success just hasn't happened. The OKC and Heat losses make sense, but the Grizz and PHX ones are probably the ones they want back.

yeah, I don't think I ever posted about, but I've had them in mind for the parallels for several years.

I don't think the Pats, and Broncos had their "best chance" to win this past year. They both clearly upgraded their roster this off-season. Last year was quite obvious it would be one of those 2 teams in the SB, but this upcoming year seems even more obvious to me yet. That said, I could see a different team getting there, but those 2 teams have to be considered the HEAVY favorites again in the AFC.

As for Beverly, that's karma bitch.

The Phoenix one was ugly. I REALLY thought we had a decent chance and they swept us. Lakers were going to the final anyway though.

The grizzlies one bothers me because ALL year I kinda assumed the Spurs would have to take down the Lakers who were going for the three peat, as it turns out the Mavs beat the Lakers. The Spurs have had great success over the Mavs and probably had a decent shot to beat that Mavs team, but respect to them though, they were the team of destiny, they won it all.

to me, the clock was ticking on manning and brady, I didn't think they'd be in such a prime position again

but both teams will likely be good again
