Anybody would, hes like 150 pounds soaking wet and he was playing his last year of his rookie deal for like 1.5m. When has he ever threw a team mate under the bus or held out?
Jackson is a punk, whines, and is way overpaid. sounds way to Santonio. As much as i was upset with the way Idzik didn't get things done with good players available, i don't want to resort to overpaying the Eagles trash either.
Link me to proof please, your comments sound like wild accusations and you have something personal against him.
You spend cap space on guys who will help you for years. Not guys who always want more money and make moronic hiphop videos. I think his production in 2013 was because of the offense and the threat of LeSean McCoy. If Idzik brings in Jackson I'll cheer for him on Sundays, but I would prefer we keep the picks and cap space and and draft guys instead. It's not Idzik's style at all, and I'd rather spend that money on Wilk.
LOL, and he's finishing his due diligence on a quarterback he's been hearing good things about out of Georgia named Tarkenton.
don't have to go further than Dec of last season http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...-a-lot-of-emotions-involved-in-sideline-spat/ arguing on sidelines with coaches and teammates doesn't sound like Holmes? he's a disruptive guy on a team. in terms of overpaid, check overthecap.com. he is no where near worth his cap number. also sounds like Holmes.
we got pretty damn close to a SB w/ Holmes and we had one losing season in his 4 years here- a season we went 6-10 but were 2-2 when he got hurt and missed the rest of the season. guys are competitive, sometimes they yell. that doesn't make them bad teammates.
Exactly, and I don't know how true it is but I heard reports that he said even this offseason he wants more money because of his productive year, but in our offense his production would drop. We can get what his production would be from the draft, plus we can mold the player into what we want.
Lol hes a passionate guy, Dez Bryant did the same thing. You called him a punk yet he hasn't been arrested nor failed an NFL drug test, just admit you don't like the guy.
hahahaha Idzik, after minutes of deliberation (Idzik time) finally gave Rex the news the team would pursue young phenom Joe Montana. Rex was soon disappointed as he learned they lost the war of free agency bidding to Retirement.
Desean Jackson and then draft best player available would make me feel a lot better about the offseason thus far. We have learned that Idzik will sign low risk high reward players later on (such as Antawn Barnes, Willie Colon, Kellen Winslow) to help with the team depth. Getting Jackson would be huge though. As pointed out by multiple sources on twitter Eric Allen confirmed to NFL Network that the Jets are trying to make a trade happen. My favorite part about this would be that we would get to see potential of Kerley being guarded by slot cornerbacks. Cautiously optimistic about a deal.
lol, i clearly don't like the guy. that was never in dispute. i don't think Chip Kelly cares too much for his attitude either. http://larrybrownsports.com/football/desean-jackson-concerned-standing-with-eagles/223043 My last link had a great comment in it. Jackson is like Philly fans. Can be a lot of fun when winning, but will immediately turn on you at first sign of adversity. That type of attitude is why i consider him whiny, and a punk. for whats is worth, Bryant is also a clear punk, so that wasn't the best choice of guy to use as support for your argument.
Would rather draft a wideout than pay for Desean. Wouldn't we have to give up a draft pick for him too?
Draft a wideout who could turn out to be a bust or trade for a 27 year old game changer in his prime? Yea draft a wideout sounds about right.
Idzik will look like a genius if he pulls Desean. Getting him opens up so many possibilities for our 1st round draft pick.
So if the Jets trade their 4th rounder from Tampa for DeSean Jackson. They get DeSean Jackson and Sheldon Richardson for Revis. That is a great trade.
