Okay and if the defender made the tackle on Jackson. We win that game without the last second heroics. If the ref never call a bogus pass interference call on Hill we go up by ten against New England and once avoid the last second heroics.
Would've been nice having that top 10 draft pick being 5-11. Maybe we'd have a shot at Sammy. The pats game cancels itself out when our all pro receiver Clyde Gates dropped an easy Td. Should've won the first game.
Assuming that Asamoah was Atlanta bound regardless of any and all other factors without inside information is pure speculation, and most likely bad speculation at that. I don't know why he signed the way that he did, but there's no reason to think he turned down a better offer from the Jets in the process. Meanwhile, I believe that a better offer should've been made and that's a perfectly valid perspective when you look at the Jets cap, roster, and comparable contracts around the league at the position.
Yeah, and the 2011 Giants were not a good team and they won the Super Bowl. It happens. I get that the Jets can be vastly improved this year (it would be difficult to not be) and still be 8-8. I think 9-7 or better is more realistic.
The Jets are trying to win now and in the future. Tannentits was all about now. Idzik is about now and the future. 2013 was mostly about fixing Tannenbaum's errors and a little bit about laying a new foundation. 2014 is another building year and it could be a playoff year. 2015 has to be a playoff year or Ryan will be fired.
2015 has to be a deep playoff run...Division winner. This year is all about making the dance and seeing what can happen.
The offensive coordinator not being present probably would not have an impact on the rest of management courting a defensive player. This FO is not about leaking things to the media so if a report came out citing scheduling conflict I believe it. They could have just said they are "backing off" like the other team did with Decker. I'm really not going to get on the FO about Sanders especially because of the report you originally posted. I don't even know if we are agreeing or disagreeing about this. Lol.
So, is there anyone left in FA that we should consider? At any price, cheap or top dollar. This link seems to be current with who went where and who remains. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/transactions/free-agents
This could very well be why we told Sanders to fuck off for a pro day meeting. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...ics-after-signing-with-broncos-134310444.html
There are lots of guys on that list that would help the Jets if they could be had for the right price. That'll come into play down the road I think.
Good post. I can see Idzik blowing Sanders and his agent off for this. Idzik seems to be a straight up guy who don't f-around with scumbags.
And of course the other teams including the Pats never had things go their way and the record is the record. Only the Jets get lucky every once in a while. Come on now LoL. The record is the record.
It wasnt really Sanders, dont tie his name to it. It was a scumbag agent who I hope no players go to ever again. He litterally screwed with multiple franchises who might have lost out on signing someone else because of his tactics. I hope a team stoops to his level and verbally agrees to a contract only to screw him over and never sign it.
Bc John Idzik not only built the Seahawks and taught Pete Carroll how to win, but he also has a time machine.
Decker, Jones, Kerley, Nelson, Hill. I could live with that if we are going to draft Ebron, otherwise if we are drafting Lee or Cooks I don't think we need Jones.
