"Forreal?" Is that a new word you just added to the English language? lol Bank on it dipsh*t. And Braylon is never coming back, he's cooked. You may want to change your Avatar
As long as we improve this year, next year can be the start of our playoff/bowl race. We have our D-line together, our defense as a whole likes Rex, Milliner should breakout, Allen should breakout, Coples is getting used to OLB. We will have at least 2 weapons who we can count on to not drop balls, next year's draft has some very good QBs if Geno doesn't improve like expected or regresses from his last few games of play, potential franchise QBs such as Petty, Mariota, and Winston. Our WR pick from this year will have a year under this system. The Ivory/Powell combo works well, I believe we were top 10 in rushing yards last year, if not 11. Our run defense is top 5, and our average game score is only like a touchdown under our opponent's average, which can be evened up if Geno passes well anyways. Things are looking bright. This year we will take what we built last and continue to rise. This year, a positive season, the next the playoffs.
i think rex has to make the playoffs this year to be retained… very rarely to coaches survive 3 years without a playoff season..i highly doubt hell survive a 4th
No doubt about it. Even coaches with SB rings who go 4 years with no playoffs are on the hot seat. Rex either makes the playoffs or it's bye bye. There's really no middle ground for him anymore and no excuses.
I can already tell by your previous post your intelligence level is severely low so I wont bother continuing this conversation. Btw, that's Greg Salas. Glad you know the team you're a fan of.
Idzik's been here for one year. Has had one draft, and isnt blowing our money in a mediocre free agency and now he's doing a horrible job. Lmao Are you gonna be mad in a few years when the Jets are really good?
I'm basing the term off of Brady's age, he's gotta become mortal some time right? On the topic of Salas, how good a chance do you think he has of being on the team next year? i think he has to be the premier returner or else become a casualty.
Why do you think the Jets will be really good in a few years? Because we are drafting decent players? What makes you think they won't go to NE or Denver or Seattle or wherever the latest superbowls have been won as soon as their rookie contracts are up? Despite what pipedreams you have been fed the good NFL teams aren't build over years..NE stepped in shit with a 6th round pick named Brady that they never expected to be anything. Denver stepped in shit when Manning said ok I'll go there. Seattle stepped in shit with a 3rd round QB too. You build to win at the moment because there is no guarantee you will be any good tomorrow.
All of us waiting for news on DRC better sit back and relax, looks like it's gonna be waiting for a while.
why would they stay in Seattle? Seattle was irrelevant before Lynch came. Then Wilson was drafted and they got better and better with the players they drafted who stayed. Why would those dudes stay?
We're really a win now team, when you look at the roster. No big holes. We need a #1 WR, a guard, but that's about it. Then, just some depth. We can certainly make the playoffs this year, and maybe even go deep in the playoffs....but we'll need a quality starting CB opposite Milliner to do that.
