We absolutely do not want a rookie and Milliner as our two starters..we should be flying Cro in now.

The report I read was just posted 2 hours ago. I don't know why that report from PFF is saying that.

Drafting for position is not the smartest of moves, and being forced to do it is even worse.

Let's see if this works out for the Pats.

According to Pft that's what Denver offered him and he turned it down. Who knows.

I like DRC talent, but that retiring statement makes me think twice about where his head is at. Idk how I'd feel if we signed him...

No he doesn't and if we don't get Vick it would be asinine to let him go.

He has to restructure his deal if he wasnts to stay he's costing us way to much cap space to hold a clipboard

I hope we sign a FA CB, we cannot afford to go into this next season with a Rookie CB.

absolutely, if he's back it is w/ a restructured deal. the QB market outside of Vick is dry right now, if we miss on him we have to bring Mark back. If we get him then mark is obviously gone.

According to the New York Daily News, the Jets will sign TE Brandon Pettigrew shortly.

Hell I would still consider adding Ebron in the draft. But it's more likely we'll go WR, OL, CB or LB

Whoaaaaaaa...how could they contact the Revis camp and make an offer while he was still under contract? He was released at 4PM yesterday and din't they sign Talib the day before?

For what it's worth, Revis wanted to return to the Jets. New England was second on his list, but we didn't make an offer.

Not sure about Pettigrew he seems like he's an undersized lineman. Just hope we don't over pay.

It's the 3rd day of the league year. Name 2010 1st round players that have received an extension already? There aren't many I'd guess.
I didn't mean in the draft. Melton and Hatcher are still FA's who fit an aggressive 4-3 front better than Wilfork. Not to discredit Wilfork, he only worked because of how great of an athlete/player he was, but he was never a true scheme fit for what the team wants to do right now, at least in my opinion. I see a better pass rushing option being brought in via FA as the team is probably back above 15m in cap space once Wilfork is gone.

Just throwing this out there but how would you guys feel if we signed jones and say pettigrew for probably less combined then wants DRC wants ... We don't sign a corner in FA ... Then in the draft we take Gilbert at 18 if he is there ... And snag say matthews or allen robinson or someone like that in 2nd round?

I was all in for Ebron but if we sign Pettigrew, no way we go with another TE. I'd much rather take a guy like Lee with first pick

Perfectly fine with me, it just means we wont draft Ebron which kinda stinks if he falls but id rather secure the TE position than leave FA+draft without one.

When Winslow played he was actually pretty good for us but this is an upgrade. I wouldn't close the door on Ebron because we still need a guy that can catch the ball.
