There is absolutely no way we could have foreseen Revis ending up with the Patriots. We also had far too many holes to pay Revis the outrageous amount of $16 million on a clearly rebuilding roster. We could have taken Richardson at 9, but we got him at 13, which we acquired in the Revis trade, so not sure what your point is here. And that "disaster" cornerback was named AFC Defensive Rookie of the Month in December, after missing preseason games/part of camp, after starting the entire season at a position with a very difficult learning curve. My head hurts.
If Decker's not a #1 then there are no #1's available in FA...James Jones and the ghost of Hakeem Nicks aren't better. Even if he's a glorified #2 (and I think he can be a legit #1), that's still better than our army of #4 receivers we've been trotting out for two years.
A number 1 receiver is the guy who is open on a particular play. The team won some games this year with no number receivers. It is the job of sportswriters to pretend they know about football. Leave it to the pros or the people on this board.

Tate was 5 for 31 with 13.25 guaranteed. So only 1.75 more guaranteed for Decker. Cool, good move idzik
EXCELLENT PRICE. just over 7 mil a year is the perfect amount for a player like him. lets see what his annual cap hit is now!
Not a bad signing. Hopefully we dont ruin his career trying to use a #2 as a #1 though (see santonio holmes)
