I'd be happy if the Jets spent some of this FA money to lock Muhammad Wilkerson into a long term deal.
The Jets most likely aren't signing more than one FA wideout to a decent money contract. The other wideout (or two) should be addressed in the early rounds as there's a plethora of top grade WR's in this draft.
You would give a guy that hasn't played a full season or played productively in 2-3 years 2 million? No way!! veterans minimum no guarnteed money if anything and I used to really like Austin
Manish Mehta @MMehtaNYDN 23s Member of Darrelle Revis camp chimes in on if he thinks cornerback will end up on Patriots (assuming he's cut). "It's going to happen" #nyj
the fortunes of the Jets and pats turned when we got a future HOFer from NE in Curtis Martin, maybe they change for us w/ revis possibly going to the Pats?
Damn that's gonna suck having to deal with Revis in a NE uniform. Belichick is loving it, smug bastard.
Frontloading will not help the cap in fact it may hurt it as it creates more risk as more money is guaranteed. Any team other than the Redskins can carry over extra cap space to the next year. So there really is no difference frontloading your money except you carry a greater risk of injury or of a player holding out.
Went over 1,000 twice 09,and 10 he's past his prime. We have Nelson as the old mentor that can still play a little
