You guys have to get over it. He served his time. He's paid his debt to society, it's OVER. I'd take him as a backup. I hope that Geno can beat him out on training camp so there's no qb controversy, but the best players should play. If that's Vick till he gets hurt I would be ok with that. Only thing that matters is that we win.
On the fence with this one, What I saw of him playing last year he looked old. Was still making the same moves that seem to get him hurt and he is not getting any younger. ( Mending Time ) Can he still throw the rock ( Yes ) can he still read the defenses ( YES ) But if he wants to start from day one I'm not sure its with the Jets
Q: Which shoe company recently signed Michael Vick to an endorsement deal? A: Hush Puppies! source: http://www.jokes4us.com/celebrityjokes/michaelvickjokes.html
No one has to get over it. What he did was utterly incomprehensible. Though I do agree he served his time. That why I'm fine with him playing on an NFL team, I just don't want him playing on my team.
I am more interested in what is better for the Jets than to treat Smith like the Jets treated Sanchez.
100% agreed. Him and Shaun Hill are the two best backups on the market (if you discount Schaub who is not interested. I'd take either in a heartbeat, preferably Vick because of his familiarity with MM offensive system.
You act like he threw Golden Retrivers into a wood chipper,Not saying what he did was right but he was gambling on dog fights with pitbulls and some got killed. He paid his debt to society .That's not the reason I don't want Vick,I just don't think he is reliable and doesn't have much to offer
The media would have a field day. If the Jets want to be viewed as a serious football team and not a "circus" then this is the last player that they need.
