Can never have enough skill players. No such thing as a waste IMO. If there good you can make room and find snaps for them.

I wonder if they're considering signing Decker and Sanders. They are two totally different players, and might compliment each other well. This would allow the team to look at a TE or O-lineman in the early rounds.

Austin would be a low cost, low risk move.

Austins was born in Summit NJ, idk if he wants to come home but it might help a tad.

Did I just see someone say this team signing free agent WR's would be a waste after Clyde Gates and Greg Salas were being thrown to last season?

Austin played 16 games in 2012, this is overblown. Hes played more than Holmes did.

Austin has glass for hamstrings... I'd rather overpay for a guy who will be there on Sundays then get a guy who is unreliable on the cheap. I'll pass

Ftr I would go for getting two good wideouts in FA, since yes, the Jets still have too many needs that could be filled with high draft picks. Qb might even be an option in the draft, and that along with OL, TE and perhaps some defensive positions if FA does not fill them would be more reasonable to deal with if the Jets made those wideout signings.

Of course that's true of FA signings in general. The Jets have cap space this year, and should not be too conservative in FA.

What about front loading a deal for Decker to lock him up? We have more than enough room this year.
