I don't think so. I've been curious and disappointed by that. Maybe he's not healthy or the Jets think he can't stay healthy.
he didn't get limited snaps in 2011, the Jets let Mason go early in the season and Kerley played a lot. where are you getting these #s from?
Please. The guy has an overinflated sense of worth. There's no way he's worth $15 mil guaranteed and $6 mil per year. The Jets tried to sign him and were even willing to over pay him up to $6 million a year. Idzik was responsible and didn't cave to a ridiculous demand.
In 2010 Decker was Denver's number 3 receiver. Once Mason left Kerley became our number 3 receiver. He was more effective in limited snaps.
For three games. And he got hurt in the divisional round and didn't come back till the Super Bowl. 5 catches total, including post season. You're stretching here to even call him a #1. Bottom line is, this isn't going to be our AJ Green. He's going to be part of a unit. I'd like to keep the numbers low, but free agency people get paid, plain and simple. This entire headache inducing conversation may be moot cause it looks like Decker left without a contract to go visit others.
Are you just being contrarian? What are you so scared of? You are using a Tim Tebow quarterbacked year as your argument right now. Go check on your favorite basketball team until something actually happens with the Jets. You are getting too overly anxious.
I have no idea what # decker was in 2010, I know kerley played a lot in 2011. It's all meaningless. again, w/ worse QBs he had a year better than kerley has ever had. again, I really like Kerley but Decker is better and will help Kerley. and at worst if they are equal, you wouldn't want another Kerley on the team? he's been our best WR the last 2 years so adding another him would upgrade, right?
Did they play the same position when the pro a Decker crowd was arguing in his favor? I brought facts to the tables and now they don't play the same position? Funny.
Isn't the argument over whether or not a team needs a number 1 receiver? Wouldn't that make this fact irrelevant?
Someone posted last night that Idzik had offered Howard $6 mil per year but had drawn the line in the sand at the $15 mil guaranteed. Probably the truth is that no one knows the exact figures yet of what the Jets offered, but someone was claiming the Jets only offered $5 mil per year. My point was that none of us should be talking definitively that the Jets didn't do enough to re-sign Howard, because none of us really knows. I sincerely doubt that Idzik told Cimini, Mehta or whomever in the media what he offered Howard.
What would I be scared of? Kyle Orton QB'd the Broncos in Decker's rookie year. Tebow started 3 or 4 games that year.
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 7m On Darrelle Revis, yes, the #Patriots have been among those who have called to express interest in a trade. Doesn’t plan to take a pay cut.
