None of the CB's have signed for more than $9.8M a year. That's north of last year but it clearly establishes the CB market.

No his value is still around 14m which is shutdown corner money its all going to come down to where he wants to go because he's going to have a lot of suitors.

Like I said earlier, this is the WORST free agency ever. We have all this fucking money, but won't sign anybody. This is worse than fucking Tanny. FUCK THIS FUCKING BULLSHIT..

    Did he though? Did he?

Who was Verner before last year?

Curious to see what Byrd signed or, but it's likely back-loaded. Revis will want at least $12 million but wouldn't he rather play for a contender than come back to us?

It makes sense man. Why would we not sign these guys like Verner for the price they received? Why would he not pull the trigger unless he had something up his sleeve.

Would be so great. It just sounds to good to be true though. I'm expecting it not to happen and hoping i'm wrong.

Like I just said, gotta believe there's a reason we didn't match 6 mil a year for Verner. We must have had something else in our mind. The groundwork is being laid for Revis Island to come back to where it all began.

I tried staying relaxed before but now I'm getting worried....

We still have this huge hole in our secondary and nobody at RG and maybe RT and the available options are signing elsewhere.

There's kind of no excuse for us not signing Verner. He's getting under 7 mil a year.

No it's not. The only CB's in NFL history that have gotten a deal that averaged that high were Darrelle Revis and Nnamdi Asomugha. Those were aberrant numbers. Aso was due to Al Davis senility (no less harsh way to put it unfortunately) and the Jets got caught in the backdraft of that development. The Bucs were just nuts, obviously.

Revis might be worth $12M a year as the best CB in the NFL if he still had all his skills. He's not worth $14M.

No his value dropped, im telling you. If Verner had gotten 10 million, Revis could have asked for 16 million again. The fact that the best corner in free agency got a low contract of 6 million effects the entire CB market. Its like when Nnamdi got 16 million, his contract alone pulled the entire CB market upward, well Verners just pulled it down.

What a coup it would be if we end up with Revis.
