woody don't have to do shit, Idzik just needs to draw a hard line and move on form there, no BS.

Woody is the owner, he can do anything he wants to. I think Idzik and definitely Rex would be on board with bringing Revis back, but Woody may not be, and he gets final say at the end. I would hope Woody doesn't have that big of an ego to where he would disrupt Idzik's plan to improve the team. Revis coming back here as the #1 CB improves the team, which is all that should matter at the end of the day (and what Woody supposedly wants).

I'm think 10-11, maybe 12 mil max for 4-5 years gets Revis to sign here.

Please, I am a big supporter of Verner, Byrd, Ward.... None of them are Revis. I was comfortable paying Verner 9 or 10 a year but if we can get Revis back for 10 I would be thrilled.

Im not opposed to this idea, we just drafted Milliner so say we do sign Revis for around 13 million, that would be about 7 million each between 2 corners. Not bad.

The Jets will lose that 3rd round pick it seems, kinda sucks. We will only get a 4th rounder.

What if Revis gets traded, though? Do we still keep the 3rd round pick?

It depends on the wording, it probably says: "Revis needs to be on the Buccaneers roster on March 12 at ....."

that'd be a funny ass loophole, but yeah pretty sure its for the BUCCANEERS specifically.

I think he winds up in Cleveland or Oakland, those guys got money to spare.

Maybe I am biased cause I still have my Revis fathead but I would give them their 4th back and Revis a 10 million a year deal in a second to have Revis Christ back where he belongs

Idzik seems to know what he wants. Revis has been available since the combine and people talk. No one will sign him for 16M. But he will be available for a certain number after he is cut. The Jets already know the price they have to pay to make a deal. We are just finding out but they have known it for weeks. If it makes sense football wise and cap wise they will be in the game.

Keep dreaming. Revis won't take 10M.

the difficulty here is that gunning for Revis may keep us out of the running for any other CB. Its a huge gamble to even try to attain him unless we're sure we can work with what we have in the end if all else fails or that Cro is an easy and acceptable callback.

Verner is who Im thinking of, say we take a day or two to court Revis- and BAM somebody else signs Verner and that options of the table. or worse we go back to Verner after failing to get DR and he wants more as a result.

I don't think Idzik will risk that, he'll stand pat more than likely and stick with whatever plan he had going.

If we landed Revis we wouldn't need to be in the running for any other CB.

Are you saying the negotiations with Revis might take longer then a different CB and therefore those guys could sign elsewhere in the meantime?

how EPIC would it be if we get Revis back for what we were going to give him last year and end up keeping the third round pick because TB officials didn't read the contract correctly?
