So who else have you consulted, Charlie? And I'd submit that there are probably people here who would prefer baseless sarcasm to baseless comparisons - way too many of them are posted here daily.

Honestly I'm with Charlie on this one.

I get that some folks here hate Sanchez with a passion, but the hypothetical argument usually revolves around chicken and the egg.

Was it Sanchez? Was it the OC and lack of talent around him.

Asking a hypo, what would Sanchez have been with a team like Houston with a real OC and some real talent is a fair question? Hypothetically.

Changing the narrative to ask about Lombardi and Sweetness and Rice and Gonzalez and Rockne?

Thats a bit...dooshy, with all due respect.

I'm tired of hypotheticals, I'm tired of hearing about a few playoff games, I'm tired of QB's who never seem to progress. I'm tired of people who think that calling others haters somehow helps them prove their point. "Dooshy?" Your opinion, fine. But all the hypotheticals in the world are meaningless. The FACT is that Sanchez had four seasons to become an NFL QB with the credentials to stay. My OPINION is he didn't make it and he won't.

    That's fine.

Hate him all you want, doesn't matter to me but trotting out the Immortal Godlikes undermines your point and makes you sound dooshy.

All hypotheticals are ridiculous because they are fiction and rely only on opinions. My point, then and now - too bad you missed it.

I repeat "I'm tired of people who think that calling others haters somehow helps them prove their point."

There is no shame in being a hater. It's a badge of honor here, really.

But there are hypos and there are hypos.

One can be used to have a rational discussion.

Using a mocking hypo to discount a rational hypo is....hate to say it....dooshy.

As a Sanchez hater you have plenty of ammo to assail the guy.

No need to trot out dooshy hypos.

    Just saying.

So Mark's accuracy and decision making would improve in Houston?

One would never know. That's the beauty or ugliness of a hypothetical.

Alex Smith's accuracy seemed to have improve. Michael Vick's career completion percentage prior to playing for MM was a little over 50%. His completion percentage under MM and Reid's offense was over 60%. Since then, it's dropped to mid 50%. McNabb, not the most naturally accurate passer, saw his accuracy improve under MM's offense. Sanchez a career 54% passer was completing close to 70% of his passes in the pre-season (small sample size I know). One could look at this empirical data and theorize that surrounding talent and more importantly, scheme, good game planning and in game play calling (cough cough a good OC) could improve a QB's accuracy and decision making.

I was totally against bringing Mark back, but since Geno is still an unknown, and there are not a lot of other options... If we can get him for a reasonable amount for a Vet QB, we should consider it.

Matt Simms completed 74% of his passes in preseason that literally means nothing. And for every Alex Smith you have many QB's that never amount to anything. And if having Andre Johnson and Foster meant something then why did Schaub suck last year? And based on Sanchez past one could say that he'd be more likely to perform like Schaub in '13 if he had those guys as his weapons.

If Sanchez goes to Seattle to back up Wilson, and Wilson goes down for the season in Game 3, the 'Hawks will:

    1- miss the playoffs
    2- lose the NFCCG
    3- win the SB

That's the "beauty" of these bullshit hypothetical musings.

Sanchez is an All-Pro in every scenario. When he got hurt this past season, he was winning more games than Geno...if he woulda coulda shoulda played. He had us solidly in the playoffs and who knows what could happen then!

I've said it many times...Sanchez is a way better quarterback when he DOES'NT play.

He was quietly given his 2M bonus last week which indicates either the NYJs have no idea what to do with him or they just wanted to waste 2M of WJ money:mad:

Chad Henne just signed a 2 year, $8 million deal. Matt Cassel just signed a 2 year, $10 million deal. Mark is going to make good money once he is released.
