I do. He was productive when healthy and we need weapons. He also said he would love to retire here. And I don't believe the bullshit that he was a cancer.
I agree, but I think it also holds truth to it though. He probably knows he won't have many more chances in the league and he has said numerous times that he loves Rex. I can see him wanting to retire here and not go somewhere else.
i think he might. i dont see him having much of a market. he might have to come back to us at a nice discount if he wants to play meaningful snaps this year
As a number 1, I completely agree with you. But he is not "trash". He was a very productive receiver who had some awesome times with us. He is a weapon we could use for Geno.
He's been more harm for Geno then good in my opinion. Remember the interception in the Panthers game?
He had only 20 something receptions for almost 500 yards. I'm pretty sure he was a helpful weapon Geno had.
1/3 of those yards came against an undrafted rookie in the BUF game. Time to move on from this malcontent asshole - do we have to really go back and state the reasons why he's an unproductive douche?
Holmes dropped a ridiculous amount of passes, showed no heart or desire, he's a terrible run blocker, and was constantly complaining on the field or sidelines. He was awesome to have when we had a great team. Time to move on.
he helped us win a lot of games we were 25-20 w/ him in the lineup(including playoffs) and 10-12 w/o him
Unlike most Jets fans, I am a fan of Holmes. I wouldn't mind them bringing him back, if he is willing to take a cheaper deal. Clutch playoff experience is something this team can use down the road. I'd be fine with as a #3
