Guys as far as accums I really have to be broad here. What I want to type is a general 7-10 FOR MOST. I cant nail it down. NWS says 4-8` NWS: Tonight Sleet before 10pm, then snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 27. Northwest wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow and sleet accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible. It ends around 3 west to 5 east tonight but again..with a radar like that? I have no idea who is exactly going to get what right now..just no..theses snows will be faster than today...AND EVEN HEAVIER..AND MANY will hear lightning and thunder.
ok..something else into the equation. Just went outside and didnt realize how much freezing rain fell during my visit into the dreamworld. Now by me, its 30 degrees. This will start off as a hard freezing rain when its comes back before changing to heavy snow. We try not to set off alarms and we like to have fun...but flat roofs? Wires and trees? This spells a bit of problem for some EAST of where the origninal snow line is setting up... all of NJ...NYC..and L.I.
Yeah, looking at the radar..this isnt good...not at all. Another heavy coat of freezing rain followed by 6-10 of snow? This isnt good at all.
and looking at the long term, we do not get any REAL relief until Wednesday and Thursday when temps get into the mid to upper 40s. Just checked the long term and yes..maybe 2 to 4 Saturday...maybe light snow Sunday..definitely Snow changing to rain Tuesday.
Precip entering Morris County NJ...Passaic county NJ...Bergen county NJ in minutes..snow breaking back out in the lower hudson valley. Could be sleet but the radar Im looking out shows snow. So, officially, second round begins at around 8pm up here.
Lots of questions on who gets what..but right now? I would go with this model that generally gives all at least 3 or 4. Thats the good news..but just check out what it thinks the high numbers will be? Can it be? FJF? I mean, this would break records.
Just reading about that model..slight NW bias which would put some to the west of I95 in big numbers. Now, the reason I think that MIGHT not happen is the start as freezing rain..regardless, a 30 mile shit west and that is a major number for many..still is.
Thanks CBG... Time to invest in a gas generator for me. Yep Jay Looks like I will be in bad shape. I am OK with the snow but I hope we don't lose power.
those 17s and 18s are inches,,,MORE on top of what we have ? where the hell am I on there my geography blows looking for that damn triangle
