I defer to your expertise. Weather isn't my strong suit.

The Blizzard of 88 and Charisma Carpenter are my main areas of study.

One thing some of the models have been showing is what they call a dry slot. When a storm gets so wrapped up..it has like a comma shape and the storm brings in dry air around the backside of the storm..so areas north...west..and east..are getting heavy precip..and that area has a major lull...nothing going on. That slot seems to go directly up the coast over NYC and Western L.I....through central, eastern conn.

Now Im not comparing it too..but lets use a hurricane and its eye...what will happen with this storm which is rare..is when that EYE or dry slot moves over your area and it ends...it will refill back in as it pulls away.

Most models if not all now are showing 3 to 4..to as much as 7 or 8 inches of snow when that occurs..even areas that went to rain...end as heavy snow.

Blizzard of 78....amazingly CBG there were two major..and I mean major snowstorms for our area within 3 weeks of each other that winter.

CBG..just check out Joe Walsh in his final appearance on that tribute...holy crap..talented guy, especially since he is now clean. Happy for him.
