If he has truly changed, then I wouldn't have any objection to his joining the Jets on that basis. I'm not sure he truly has, however, as in 2012 he was suspended for 4 games for PED use. He also has an injury history, and I've seen it speculated that any contract he signs could be worth $25 million or upwards for 3 seasons. Not sure I'd want to invest that much in a player with an injury history and at least questionable character.
Please read what you responded to. I said you are more concerned with rooting for a team of high character guys than a championship team which you clearly stated here: I did not say you would rather root for one than the other, only that you are more concerned with one than the other. Which you clearly are. You can't possibly be mad at me for your own thoughts, can you?
To begin with, I'm not mad at you. Second, you are misinterpreting/twisting my words. I didn't "clearly" say anything of the kind that you suggest. That is strictly your twist on my words. Just because I'm concerned with character doesn't mean I'm not concerned with building a winning, championship level team. Again, they aren't mutually exclusive. I only mentioned rooting with regard to the Raiders and they were a bunch of cheap shot artists, dirty players and thugs. The Jets can build a SB winning team without resorting to bringing in a bunch of lowlifes.
OK so clearly you have difficulty with reading comprehension. If you can find where I said you aren't concerned with building a winning championship level team I'll send you some bitcoin. The only one twisting anything is you and it's likely because you don't understand what you're reading.
You can't have choir boys Mon-Fri and great NFL players on Sunday. Reality is that a lot of these guys have some issues. As long as these issues don't inhibit their ability to play and they produce on the field then I'm all for the Jets going after them. I'd definitely take Talib over Cro if he's available for the right price. Also taking a key defender away from the rivals patsies, sign me up.
You see, when you say this: You're making the argument that my logic is wrong because I've claimed two things are mutually exclusive when in reality they are not. In order for you to back up that argument you need to start by showing where I've made the claim that two things are mutually exclusive. You haven't taken the first step in backing up that argument. Rather than try to backup your argument you've made the baseless claim that I'm being childish. I guess that's your way of saying you were wrong. Don't deflect your inability to understand what's being discussed as me being immature. That's weak son. Show me where I said you are not concerned with building a winning, championship level team or admit that you were wrong. If you need assistance in understanding the conversation just let me know and I'll try to help you with some examples or something.
