I'm not at the age yet where I think "maybe I won't see a jets Super Bowl in my lifetime" but I'm at the age where I wonder how come so many other teams get a chance. Even when things break right, they don't lead to the final goal. We have a curse somewhere that we need to break somehow haha

Was that the worst Super Bowl ever, or since Super Bowl # ____? I'm thinking it's the worst one I've ever seen. Waste of time.

As a Niners fan I feel pretty good that the NFCC game went down to the wire with the SB champs. Had a feeling the winner of that game would win it all.
Question for neutral fans- Does Peyton Manning's game in the SB give Kaepernick some cred because of his performance against Seattle's defense at their stadium, which you know is a nightmare to play in? Thanks in advance for answering.

I have seen the last 30 live. The only competition is Super Bowl 24 (Broncos vs 49ers).

A certain media member said it best(although he picked the Broncos), going from watching the Broncos-Patriots to the 49ers-Seahawks, you could tell the game in Seattle was being competed at a much higher level. The speed of the players, the intensity, the hits, etc.

I cannot remember the last time I watched a Peyton Manning game in which he embarassed like that, its really a testament to how good Seattle was. Denver never scored less than 20 ALL season and to get held to 8 points is just impressive. Watching the game to, it didnt even feel like it was the Broncos choking, it was more Seattle just dominating them and making it look easy.

I think it helps Kaep, his offensive didnt struggle as much as Peyton's did. Kaep running ability helped but Kaep also got his team up 10-0. Manning in the first quarter had the safety and interception, a lot less than what Kaep did in his 1st quarter.

Can we put to bed the Brady vs. Manning debate please? peyton is an all time great, there's no shame in being #10 all time but he's just not in the conversation for greatest of all time. Pathetic showing by his entire team but he's a huge part of that.

Seattle is very good, but I think the game would have been much closer if Denver actually played a good game. No one can legitimately say that Denver was playing their best and got taken to school. Denver played like garbage. If Denver was on their A game it would have been a much different score. Not saying that Denver would have won or lost, but no way they get blown out like that. Everyone has crappy games and they just decided to have theirs in the biggest game of the year.

    I said the same thing.

The pace of that SF/SEA game was much higher than DEN/NE. SEA was swarming all over the field.

I said that Seattle would be able to keep the Denver receivers in front of them but didn't realize they would completely baffle Denver.

I mean NOTHING Denver did worked. NOTHING.

Think their mistake was going for it on 4th just before the half. They should have taken the 3 pts and maybe it would have sparked some confidence.

Missing that 4th down then giving up the quick TD after the half killed the Broncos' will to win.

That was definitely not the worst super bowl by a long shot. The Seahawks gave us a clinic on how to dominate a good football team and a great QB. The entertainment value in watching them was very high. Everybody on that defense and most of the players on offense were playing about as well as you can play the game.

The worst recent super bowl was Steelers-Seahawks. Neither team played like they wanted to win that game but the Steelers finally put it away at the end. It was painful watching both rush defenses come up repeatedly short and watching both QB's try to throw the game way.

my favorite part of the game is the fact that Seattle actually turned deferring the opening kick into 12 points.

    safety on first play
    FG on the safety punt
TD on the second half kick off

all because they decided to give the ball to the Broncos first. that's the kind of results Rex has wet dreams about by always deferring.

I think the pick came right after the TD to. It was a snowball effect of a safety+FG+FG+TD+Pick 6

Seattle punted the ball once all game, ONCE.
