On which pass attempt? The one where he is throwing to Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas, Welker, Decker, Moreno, Ball or Tamme?
Just wait and see, he will be picked off. Seattles going to force him to make some quick decisions and Seattle secondary will be able to cover these Denver weapons.
This is such a good matchup. Sherman will probably be on Demaryius a lot but that still leaves a lot of weapons for Peyton to throw to. Seattle will want to run the ball of course but Denvers run D is very good. Russell will need to do what he does and extend plays with his legs. I expect a very close game.
Do you think so about Sherman? I noticed Sherman didn't necessarily follow Boldin or most WRs around the field, I wonder if SEA will change that for Thomas. I think Russell extending plays will be the difference too. That Denver secondary is prone to lapses and Wilson will have them trying to cover for a longer time than anticipated. Even if the Denver DL gets pressure on Wilson, Wilson is amazing at buying so much extra time.
I cant see Denver getting the pass rush that the 49ers got yesterday. I think Wilsons running ability and to extend plays outside the pocket is going to cause major issues for the Broncos defense and secondary specifically.
Eli won his second Super Bowl in Peyton's home stadium, and I certainly am rooting for Peyton to win his second in Eli's, and have what is indisputably the best season for any QB in NFL history. As far as predictions, I think Peyton can get his team 28 points, and I think that will be enough.
it has been pointed out a couple of times last night about how Manning hasnt been tested by a team like the Seahawks all season. I say who cares. The guy has been in the league forever and has pretty much seen everything there is thrown at him. He'll be ready.
Just when you begin to become a decent poster you go and make a dipshit post like this. Or had junc hacked your account? You would have a point if manning was having an average season and his applaud was only based on past performance. Unfortunately for you he just guided the highest scoring offense in history and his performance this year doesn't support your position. Your position is actually more in line with your own argument because it depends on looking at historical performance not current performance. Well done. Try to grasp your own positions.
The sad thing us you actually think there is a point to that old post, the same as you think your draft analogy has merit. Can't teach an old dog new tricks.
Russell Wilson sought out Terry Bradshaw in the post game celebration for advice in playing in the Super Bowl. Wilson never ceases to amaze me, if this guy can win this title, he could be on to something big with the Seahawks. Gotta get this first one though.
You are rooting for Hawks just because you want to be right with your preseason prediction of Hawks over Broncos or is there more to it?
It's too bad you've never seen Manning play. All he DOES is make quick decisions. Nobody forces him to do anything. _
A couple factors, I said Russell Wilson would be the best QB out of that draft, I REALLY thought they were winning the Super Bowl this season, Yes I predicted it, but this was beyond a prediction personally, I was absolutely sold they would overtake the division, dominate the league, and win it all in the end. Right now as it stands, I am picking the Seahawks. Even if I hadnt predicted them in the preseason, I would have picked them to win this game. I really believe Seattle's defense is the real deal, is going to get pressure on Manning, lock down the receivers, etc. Im not sure if I posted it, but i'm going with a score of 27-17 Seattle. I actually think my score will end up wrong, because I think their is a better chance the Broncos score less than 17 than more than 17 , but i'll stick with 17 because I can't predict a bad punt or a fumble.
The Broncos had to punt once in those two full playoff games. The point total may not be huge but they moved the ball at will both games. But I do agree with you Seattle has a much better overall team. But the Broncos have Manning and that has always been the great equalizer. Seattle likes to play press coverage and put pressure on the QB forcing throws which might means you might be right and maybe Manning will not be able to get rid of the ball as fast as normal. If you hit Manning he becomes a normal QB and makes mistakes. But right now he is so dialed in. Its a really interesting matchup. I am sure Manning will get his points. But can the Bronco defense which played great against SD and NE stop Lynch and the Seattle offense. I am not sure Denver is ready for that kind of physical football. Plus Wilson is so adept at extending plays and turning them into big plays. Manning will get his points but this where the game will be won.
