Are You SURE You REALLY Want Sanchez Off The Jets ??

Imagine if a space ship invaded Metlife stadium in the middle of the superbowl and kidnapped Peyton Manning only to inject him with the fountain of youth and then sneak him back onto the Jets in the shape of Geno Smith to start in 2014?

 

I'd have no problem with him going to New England. They want a below average QB, they can have him.

Bellicheck would probably put him in a better situation to succeed but he's still not very good IMO. I'll take my chances against him.

 

OK so as an elixir for Sanchize fans who keep trying to go back into time and find reasons to keep Mark one NFL coach (I assume HC but it didn't specify that) was reported to say if Sanchez is cut he will immediately sign him and give him the starters job.http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...take-sanchez-as-our-starter-if-cut-says-coach I'm sure his followers are saying "I told you so" even though nothing at all has happened. Personally I hope this coach gets his wish. But what team do think it is. I can think of 7 in the category of looking for a starting Qb: Cleveland (they have no HC so it's probably not them. Their OC just signed with Minny. They currently have Weedon and Campbell but are rumored to be in the mix to sign Manziel). Houston: they have a new HC in O'Brien who knows Qbs. If he does like Mark it's a possiblity but if me I'd keep Schaub. I believe he's still 10x better than Mark). Jax: a possiblity but imo Henne is better and wasn't horrible when he got a chance to play over Gabbert. Tenn: Does Whisenhunt like Mark. Maybe but Mark vs. Locker. To me no contest. Locker when not injured wasn't bad. Tampa Bay: their rookie Qb was alright. They'll probably keep him but could bring in Sanchez to back him up. Oakland: I think Dennis Allen probably doesn't want him but you never know. McGloin and Pryor not that tough to beat out. And Minny: new HC and OC in Norv Turner who is probably calling the shots for the offense. Mark did have a few good games against the Chargers. To me this could be the place. They will get rid of Freeman and Cassel and possibly Ponder. A good possibility for Mark. I don't care what team he goes to just not here. I know we couldn't get anything for him with that contract unless he would redo it for another team if the Jets deal him but they'll wait till he's cut.

Right now he would have to make less than probably 8 phone calls and simply say, do you want the opportunity to have negotiating rights with Sanchez. It may be worth a 6th rd pick to one of those teams to not have to be in the mix with a few other teams for his services if he is cut.

This is a crock of shit and you know it. Please don't peddle this garbage. Drops were not really much of a problem with the Jets when Mark was the QB. In fact, if he could hit a WR in stride, we would have been a lot better. But too bad he would throw behind receivers no matter what the route was and they'd consistently get at least 5 yards less than they should on those particular throws. He has never been accurate and never will be. If he does become accurate, I'll eat my hat. But don't pretend like he ever was.

- made a cynical, PERSONAL assumption that mocked another person's (imagined) stage in life, a person you don't even know

- you were called on that "personal assumption" whereupon you went into FULL WEASEL MODE by disengenuously shifting gears and claiming it was not personal but was merely a "generic" thought.

- seeing your "generic thought" statement for its weasel-like characteristics, again you were called on your "getting personal" comment (refusing to take your troll bait)

- you then conveniently ignore the repeated (and true) contention that you "got personal" by dodging it and instead trying to shift attention towards the "troll bait" comment as if THAT was the true point of contention vs. the "getting personal" assertion.

Yeah his 60 Quarterback rating against SD was just outstanding....

 

MOre turnovers? Yes, one more interception on 50 or so more dropbacks, his interception rate per attempt was actually lower than Sanchez's.

 

Duh, Actually give the Jets a QB like O'Brien and they'll win more games than with Sanchez. or Pennington who would also be better than Sanchez (prior to his 2nd shoulder injury anyway). The point is that Sanchez has always been a mediocre QB and it's not that difficult to do better. I admit the Peyton and Brady comment was hyperbolic, but then again sometimes you just fight hyperbole with hyperbole.

 

Have you seen some of the QB's teams rolled out there as starters this year? It wouldn't shock me if that quote was true and there was actually more than one team that saw Sanchez as starter material. Minnesota's the only NFC team I can think of...there's quite a few AFC teams it might apply to (Oakland, Houston, Jacksonville, Cleveland).

Of course you kind of have to take into account a bunch of those QB-needy teams also have high picks and if they get the guy they want Sanchez won't be starting for them, or he'll be a keep the seat warm guy and won't be starting for long.

 

Damn tired of you bashing the Jets defense in order to try to justify your BJ boy Sanchez.

FACT the 2009 JETS defense allowed the least number of points in the NFL at 14.8 points per game. Fact if you average 14 points per game for every game you allowed more than 14 points there then there was one (if not more) games that they allowed fewer than 14.8 points.

A team with a competent QB wins more than 9 games with that kind of points allowed.

You do realize that in a Nutshell you've just conceded every argument about Mark you've made?

You admit the teams with absolute crap at QB would look at him to start.
You admit that teams with established QB's would only look at him as a backup.

In other words, he's a backup QB on any decent to good team.
Yet you want him as the Jets QB?
