Kind of figured it was happening. We won't spend money this offseason  I wonder if AROD's decision and cap relief played a major part in this, or the Yankees were going to anyways
Just saw this. Good news. If you are gonna throw lots of $$ around, may as well throw it at a potential ace is his mid 20's.
Yeah that's definitely true, I just want to know behind the scenes if the Yankees are going to push more aggressively knowing they get a relief from AROD's contract. Just curious if that played into at all, or they didn't care. Now to shape up the infield.
95 wins is the cap. i'd expect 90-95 and a wildcard followed by a short playoff stint. the yanks are too old/too slow and throwing money at their problems is not going to change anything.
I missed Francessa after A-Rod has dropped his lawsuit so I am not sure what angle he took. Can someone here fill me in.
Tanaka solid in his debut. http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/sto...k-yankees-strikes-three-spring-training-debut
Broadway Joe (in uniform) with Derek Jeter and Rex Ryan at today's Yankees-Nationals game in Tampa. So Namath, Ryan and Jeter walk into a bar...

I guess Kay didn't get it, last night the Astros gave Jeter a standing ovation for his first at-bat. Kay was saying on the air, "why now?" It was game 2 and it was Jeter's 2nd, initial at bat as the 2nd batter. I picked that up immediately.
Yankees take the first game of the series from the Sox. Pineda pitched great http://deadspin.com/michael-pinedas-not-being-discreet-about-the-pine-tar-1562044107 Phelps shut the door in the 9th Dean Anna hit his first career homer.
Watched the game, Pineda threw some nasty stuff. Hope he can remain healthy. And Bucholz wasn't very discreet about that crap on his arm either. Lol.
